Well we did not have to drive 2 hours upstate to one breeder because 40 min away was another breeder who called back last night and that is whom we got a chocolate lab from. The pup has all the akc papers, hip check, vaccinations up to date, dew claws, and the right demeanor compared to his brother who is for a more active person (nothing wrong with that). He is also bigger than his brother, I mean big bones! We have all his lineage which is all english bloodlines if that means something (according to one person it does). So in the end I think we got a steal of a deal on this pup. Now we just have to get the cats to get along with him. :rofl;

I went dialysis in the morning.  My 2 youngest were at their mom's.  I was planning on watching the fireworks with my oldest but late in the afternoon he got invited to go over to his buddies house.  I did not want to sit at home alone so I drove about 5 minutes down the street to an industrial park and had GREAT viewing of the town next doors fireworks. No crowds, no traffic, not too bad.

That sounds like a fun but peaceful way to spend the fourth!

Do you have any special plans for your kids this summer?  Do you usually get the opportunity to take them on vacation somewhere?  I know that's hard to do on dialysis, but do you usually make any sort of special plans with them while they are on summer holiday?
