Hi to all, I'm planning on eating popcorn and a little of chicken breast, corn is an indian thing you know! I don't think we had chickens long ago, hmmm...prarrie chicken maby wonder if they tasted the same??

Grilled salmon on  saffron basmati rice with dried cranberry bits, almond and pistachio slivers.   Salad on the side.  For dessert a store bought mixed fruit tart (fruits on custard in a thin almond flour tart shell).  I bought the tart to celebrate my lower potassium.

Okay, I was really lazy and we had clam chowder and Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich and have cheesecake for dessert. To hot to be cooking here.  :cuddle;

I think it tenderizes the chicken as well as helping it to stay nice and moist instead of getting dried out by baking.  I often use yogurt like this too.  Mix in some tandoori spices and then bake.

Use any spices you like...cajun, herbs, make your own spice rub, jerk spice etc etc.   Tandoori spice is very very nice however and perhaps I should send some to Twirl if she can't get it where you live.

You just cant get a straight answer, can ya Twirl. It is just pour the buttermilk over the chicken, and some how it makes it tender and very moist. Use any spice you like best. I really like that lemon pepper. And then roast, or fry or bake. I baked. And it's really good.

I've used buttermilk for fried chicken and yogurt for tandoori chicken. Not anymore, because my phosphorus is so out of control and I have no idea how much phosphorus actually sticks around from the buttermilk/yogurt soak.

It supposedly tenderizes the chicken, but I don't know the chemistry behind it. Sounds a little voodoo-ish to me. I just do it because it leaves a nice viscous wet batter on the chicken so that the flour sticks and makes a really nice crust when frying.

Tonight, nothing special aside from half a big bottle of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Really thick beer, tastes almost like dark roasted mocha.

I love buttermilk marinated chicken and stuffed peppers, but I'd much rather have some of Twirls rain.......

I had two peanut butter crackers and a piece of edwards lemon pie (single slice) and a big cup of  cold water.

I spent all day cooking chili! Got back around 2pm from my appointment with the PD nurse and grocery shopping, and right away started cooking. Four and a half hours later, it was ready to eat, but it won't truly be done until tomorrow. An overnight sit in the fridge always makes chili better.
