That is quite the decision Mark.  I wish you all the best with this next part of your journey...  Life is going to be different with this immense change.  Remember you will always have all the support you need.  Keep your chin up, you can make it through this stormy weather.  Stay cool cooly cat.
A goodly strong vibe is being sent your way...

Sending love and prayers your way Mark, it has been a horrendous decision for you, but by this time next year you will be back on 2 feet and going well rather than looking at this all over again.  Let OB be your inspiration, we are all proud of what she has achieved and you can do it too.  Lots of love and hugs, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers particularly on Friday.  :grouphug;

I am sending best wishes your way.  And maybe another card.  Will you be in the same hospital?  Can you post the new address if it is another hospital?   :bunny:  :guitar:

I am frequently awed by the courage that I see in the face of great adversity - too often, too much adversity. Boxman, this time it is you. You don't need me to tell you that you will rise above this, you already know it!

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

well I found out that the surgery will be at 10am Friday the 16th I listed the hospital in an earlier post. I should be there for 3-4 days then be moved to a rehab facility which I don't know what facility that will be just yet. I could be at that place for 4-6 weeks. I will post more when I know. It is coming up fast  :(  Boxman
