Positive # 1.  Today at 11 AM I get my catheter removed from my next/chest.

Positive # 2.  Some people on IHD are not as angry with me today at they were yesterday.

Two more days before a shower.  I didn't hurt at all but he said it might be sore this afternoon.  Wonder who invented pain medicine, etc.  They should be up for sainthood.

Ahhh, two more days?  I am sorry.   Glad it didn't hurt and hope it doesn't hurt tonight.  Thank goodness for pain meds   :2thumbsup;

It is another beautiful day. The leaves haven't started to change yet, but fall is in the air.   :2thumbsup;

The leaves have changed color here and it is NOT a beautiful day. It is raining, foggy, windy and cold. This is Thanksgiving weekend for us and the weather is supposed to be nasty.

My positive - no students until Tuesday. We have a professional day for teacher's tomorrow and Monday is Thanksgiving!!

Glad that's over for you, dw!  I thought about you at 11 a.m. today.  I told you last night that it would be quick and over before you knew it.  How did it go?  Was I right?  Do you have to wait two days because you have a bandage?

...and who could be angry with you for very long?  Inside that tough hide, you're all kitten!   :rofl;

I feel good tonight. The Historical Dinner went well and even an alumni family attended.

All the paper work to get us listed at our new transplant center was completed today. Now for a new round of testing!  :yahoo;

One positive and one negative:

Positive:  I have no Tubes handing out anywhere (I don't think).  It feels really good and really strange.

Negative:  Darn, it is so cold in Houston.  Sure was hard to climb out of the bed at 56 F outside and 72 F inside.  (I forget now!  What exactly was I complaining about in July?) :yahoo;

For the first time in ages I felt well enough to visit my favourite paintings again.
They are at the Wallace Collection in London (connected to the Frick Collection in America).
One "absolute favourite" is Rembrandt's painting of his son Titus, one of the most sensitive paintings.
Titus was already very unwell when his father painted him, and, symbolically, one side of Titus' face has "already entered the shadow"
whilst the other side is still very much alive. Another favourite is Ruben's "Rainbow" landscape. Rubens painted it during his retirement,
when he could paint as he felt like, and this "Rainbow" is one of his most fascinating and beautiful paintings.
Another "old favourite" is "Perseus and Andromeda" by Titian, painted ~1553/1556 and this painting was recorded in 1584,
when it belonged to the art collection of Philip II of Spain in the Aranjuez Palace. From there it came to Anthony van Dyke.
In 1815 it was bought by the third Marquess of Hertford who put in his dressing/bathroom, where he studied the painting whilst taking a bath.
In the Wallace Collection one can admire the most precious furniture of Louis XIV, King of France, Sevres Porcelain in the most beautiful colours,
some Meissen Porcelain, gold boxes, miniatures, sculptures, clocks, it is one of the best Collections of Art and is a real treat to visit.
There are lots of seating possibilities everwhere, one can study whilst resting, and the whole wonderful collection is a national Museum in an
historic London town house. Walking through this wonderufl, classy collection, sitting there and studying my favourite paintings again
after such a long time, was an absolute treat.

Aleta - Mass isn't even close to the 20's yet.  Northeast is hanging out around 50 degrees - now the nights might be getting cool like 35.  20's are a coming though.

Positive - it finally stopped raining in VT.  the constant knocked off a lot of the pretty leaves this week.

Slywalker, the forecast for Lenox, MA next week is to get down into the 20's at night. Ugh!

We haven't dropped below a chilling 45 yet.  :rofl; And I've only started wearing a light jacket!

While we are gone it is supposed to be highs in the 70's at home.

Epo - the wonder drug!  :2thumbsup;

My dad is out of the hospital after having a "mild" heart attack.

Downside is that it took me 4 hours to get him out of the hospital and settled back in his assisted living. It's a long story, and not a positive, so it isn't for here!  :rofl;
