Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.

I had a threesome party in the pool this morning before dawn -- we swam and played and turned the water sprinklers on -- and danced and barked --Lady Bird and Yogi can't wait to do this again ---
oh, and a couple of us chased squirrels

The baby is at peace.  My niece, that was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, passed away wednesday.  She can finally rest and doesn't have to suffer anymore. (To me, that is a positive)

It has been a beautiful day here. We went for a ride a little while ago and saw a moose having a snack in a field in the middle of a small community near here. We were parked for about 20 minutes watching him.  He even used to lift his head up with a mouthful of grass!! I had the cameras left at home so I didn't get a picture  >:(  Love seeing nature like that.

I have finished my first week of summer teacher training.  :clap;

I even managed to give my husband his treatments between lectures. Whew! Really glad for the weekend.

I'm home, too, and nearly have the house back in order.  I have one whole day tomorrow to myself.  I get to sleep in and wake when I'm ready in my own bed.  Ahhhhh. .. . .

Watched a beautiful sunset on the way home from the dialysis unit. Hubby's dialysis machine broke down yesterday (started making noises when it was turned off!! Sounded like a time bomb!!) .  Sort of spoiled our plans for the weekend. We were supposed to go to a wedding instead we had to go for dialysis!!

Oh, too bad about the wedding, Del.

But weddings are my positive. I am an officiant and two couples contacted me about doing their weddings. I just love to do weddings. If I had enough weddings to do, I might retire from teaching, LOL.

And both of these weddings would be in the mountains, which makes it even better!  :2thumbsup;

We took the kids to see dogs dressed up in costumes today. My three year old was so excited he was squealing. He had a comment for every single dog. I asked him which was his favorite dog and he said "the one wearing the clothes!"

Then I bought them a chocolate mousse filled crepe. My six-year-old had said that he did not know what chocolate mousse was, so I had to right that wrong at the first opportunity!

My positive today is that I got to do 40 uninterrupted minutes of exercise in the pool. So refreshing.

And we have a book club meeting tonight. I have not had time to read the book, so I'll sit in the corner and catch up with grading from my course this past week!  :yahoo;

That will really help me feel good! Then out to dinner with friends.
