Aww fluffy looks kinda similar to my Celeste. It is good of you guys to desex the colony and look after them... that's important to try and get strays off the street but more importantly to have them desexed. Good job!

I get the same as Jean.  When I click on the image icon, I get this: [.img][./img] without the full stops of course.
no options to upload or browse, which is what I expected to happen...
How can I show off my two ex RSPCA felines :-(
idea:  maybe I need to try this in a different browser?

What you need to do is click on "Additional Options" just below the posting window, there you can upload your picture files as attachments, then we can see your furry friends.

My kitty is also ex-RSPCA. Best thing I did this decade!!!

[RichardMEL, you're a genius!]

Tadah!  I present Hannah and Akbah, enduring the two-cat cat-bounce.  I rescued them in two separate forays to the RSPCA in Jan 2000, so they're both 10 years old now (this photo was taken circa 2006).  They are not related, and as facebook would put it, their relationship status is complicated.  Hannah is the worried looking one on the right.  Its a black and white photo, but they are black anyway so its almost true to life.

Do kids count?  :rofl;

But seriously, we have a Lhasa Apso named Snickers.

For Christmas, I bought my husband a 55 gallon fish tank that sits right across from his dialysis center. I think it's the best gift I ever gave him!

We have 3 needle fish, 5 Red Tail Tinfoil Barbs, African Cichlids, Rainbow Shark, Bala Shark, Gourami and finally some algea eaters.

We have many chickens, two dogs, a parakeet, about 36 goats and 2 donkeys. We used to have 3 beautiful peacocks until some feral cats that hung around the area got to them. We also have two horses but because of the drought last year we moved them to a cousins farms that had a lot of grass.

Myself and Blokey went to the antiques fair today at the local non-profit animal shelter and we came home with a baby brother for Tabatha-Cat.  He's an incredibly affectionate seven-month old called Mog.  *fingers crossed* they get on (they are SO different ...)!

Ha! We tried to (prematurely) introduce them yesterday and Tabatha went totally bananas ... poor Mog!  I don't work on Wednesday's so I've spent most of today trying to get Tabatha used to Mog's scent.  At least when they see each other through the patio doors Tabatha isn't hissing and trying to swat him anymore.

Oh, and if anybody has any ideas on how to get a cat who wasn't allowed out in his previous home - so should, in theory, be house-trained - to actually go to the loo in his litter tray and not everywhere BUT, then I'd love to hear them!

Oooops!!!!!.....

Oh dear!!!!.... Put a little of 'what he does' into the litter tray... Puts his scent there...

Also, if he 'goes' in a particular area in the house, feed him there for a while... Cats are so fastidious, they won't go where they eat!...

Have fun with the 'getting to know you' sessions... Don't worry, Kitty Fisticuffs looks (and sounds) worse than it is!.... Serious injuries are very rare... Owners frayed nerves are not!!!!!.... :rofl;

Cats normally want to go in the tray, they are so very fastidious and trained in very early kittenhood by their mothers...  this might be about being unsettled, especially as there are territorial disputes going on.  Probably /tabatha owns the tray, and Mog "doesn't have" a tray.  Is the offender Mog or Tabatha?    It helps for a new arrival, to put butter on the paws,this helps them feel more at home, perhaps both cats would benefti from this as otherwise one got the butter and the other didn't...
separate trays in separate rooms might help?
time will help, that's for sure... as eventually they will probably settle down and stop the fighting.
If its an all out war, and your house is big enough, maybe when you go out or go to bed, keep the new arrival in one section of the house for awhile, and Tabatha in another... so that he can settle down and sort out where his tray is?    That's going to cause outrage for Tabatha, as the whole house is hers (his?)(hers?) at present...

Litter-tray issue sorted.  He was going in places that were 'private' so I made the area feel more private.  It seemed to work.  We haven't dared introduce them again yet (I'm a nervous wreck) but they can see/smell each other.  I'll keep you updated as to when the battles are over ...
