This is Mouse. She is a Maine Coone Cat and is 15 years old.

Gorgeous.  She looks as if she's as big as Winnie & Willie. Isn't she a poser  :rofl; I bet she makes all her own rules too!!

She's very dignified looking! That's not Mouse in the first picture is it? That one doesn't have any white on it's chest.

The first picture of Mouse is when is was a kitten, she was very dark (even he nose was really dark) and is getting lighter the older she gets. She rules the house and the 2 dogs (she weighs more then they do). She likes to lay on the footstool and waits for the dogs to walk by and takes a swipe at them. She stalks both of them when they were puppies, Len calls her evil cat.  >:D

Scooby is going in tomorrow morning to be neutered.  Poor guy, but he needs this.  He has been mounting Luke for the past 2 months, yikes!   :shy;

This is the first time I am having a dog neutered/spayed.  All of my dogs have been older and have had this done.  Anything to look out for?

My boyfriend was the donor.

Aww!!  He'll be fine. Neuters (males) are very quick, easy and minimally invasive, unlike spays (females). He should go home with a few days woth of pain meds and antibiotics. Many dogs don't even end up needing the pain meds after their injectible pain meds from the surgery wear off tho. Just keep him from jumping and running around for about a week. If the site looks red and swollen and feels very warm to the touch after a few days, it could be the sign of an infection. I'd call your vet if you see this. They'll probably have you go back for a follow up appointment to remove the stitches and check the incision after a week or so, or if they used surgical glue, to just check the incision.

I believe that some dogs can be prone to weight gain after neutering. But hey, you're used to Labs who are known for gaining weight anyway, if you're not careful tee hee, so you probably already know very well how to deal with this!

OMG too cute!  I love pugs!  My sister has a tan one that died last year at the ripe old age of 13, his name was Woosie.  They now have a black pug who is about 10 mos old, his name is Papi (after Big Papi, David Ortiz from the Red Sox).  He is a cutie patootie!!!!  Pugs are such a great breed, I love their smooshed up face and how they snort and snore.

All of the pet photos are great. I have noticed that the puppies and kitties seem to always get the best spots in the house to lie down on :) (Recliners and sofas and such.) True?   ;D

So my two white bull terriers, Chloe and Dorothy, are currently dead to the world, on their bed in the loungeroom. I wondered just how asleep they really were, so I placed garlic bread crusts carefully right in front of their nostrils - neither one of them moved. For ages.

Anyway, I wandered off, did some stuff, messed about. Half hour or so later I return and they are both asleep in exactly the same position - but both crusts are gone.

:)))))))))) ROFL

Since it's winter here and a lil chilly Celeste has taken to sleeping under my doona (comforter for all you non aussie types) during the day. Oddly when I am in bed she snuggles on top, but when I'm not there she curls up under it so I usually know if I come in from work and there's no meows to greet me I'll find this warm ball under the covers... it's so adorable.. all I have to do usually is stand at the bedroom door and just say "Celeste?" and there will eb a meow!! and the ball will move and out she will come aparently happy to see me (though giving up that happy warm place!! oh my!) :) it's so gorgeous.

Anyway must go home.. it's past dinner time for a certain someone.. and I have tuna for her tonight!!!! :)

lol, funny you mention this, we had this very discussion at work the other day. We have a British girl at work, and "doona" seemed to confuse her. I explained it as "duvet", which seemed to make sense. I think what confused her is that we interchange the use of the word "quilt" with "doona". I think technically speaking, a quilt is more like a comforter. So why then do we call a doona cover a "quilt cover"? lol.

It's just us weird Aussies.
