Very Pretty kittys. Not as pretty as my Ruth, the most beautiful kitty in the universe, but very close.

(I have to say that or Ruth will pout.)

Yes, now I remember what green grass looked like too..... now if only this drought would break, and our water restrictions lifted, perhaps I could water the garden again  :) - the dogs would love to have a good roll on proper grass again.

Hector's gorgeous!  What a beautiful face!

Ditto on the Jack Russell comments.  If it's a playmate you want, don't get a retired Greyhound either.  Mine just sleeps all day long!  But hey...he's retired!!!   ;D  Best dog ever, but not a "player".  Now Labradors, they're "players"!!  Good Luck with the doggy hunt!

Charee, I just showed Hector to my husband. He instantly smiled and said "Diesy-boy!" (Diesel was our dog 1988-2006 - that's him in my avatar). Guess Hector reminds my husband quite a bit of Diesel - it hadn't occurred to me, but he's right. Awwww.

Our dog has decided she wants the cat food before my cats are done with it.  I watched her crawl up on the couch. onto the counter, and stretch her neck out to get the wet cat food off of the counter.  I have to watch them after I feed the cats in the morning now.

Ooops the pic was too big.

Photo is Jenna - after Disneyland - 1988

WWW
« Reply #1091 on: April 12, 2008, 07:04:09 PM »

I don't have a photo because it was 3:40 AM this morn when I heard our cat Woody meowing on the balcony outside my bedroom. I looked out the door and couldn't really see what was up (and since I wasn't really awake, I wasn't thinking.) I opened the door and he came streaking in with a big mouse in his mouth. He took off down the stairs in the dark. I thought for about 20 seconds, what should I do? But since I had to get up early to take Becca to a college entrance exam, I just shut my bedroom door and went back to sleep. In the morning I was running out, but first searched the house for the mouse, wondering if maybe I dreamed the whole thing?! As I was leaving Jenna said she heard some bumping around in her bathroom in the early morning so she went to see what was happening. Woody was triumphantly tossing the recently deceased mouse in the air. She took it from him and tossed it outside. I am sorry for the mouse but Woody is a hunter and loves to show us his conquests.  :urcrazy;

Diesel was a bull terrier X pit bull terrier. Usually we just called him a bully X to avoid getting into those annoying conversations/arguments with people who only know the breed by its reputation. Best dog I've ever had. So sweet, so smart - totally irreplacable.

For any of you who love, respect, are indifferent to or even dislike pit bulls, you must watch these videos! There are 3 videos, detailing what has happened to the Micheal Vick dogs. It is so heartwarming. I'm thrilled to hear that almost none of the Micheal Vick dogs were put down!  :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

I am so glad I saw those videos. I had wondered what happened to Vick's dogs.  They look so happy
now!!
I have always thought they were a happy looking dog, they always seem to smile, I swear they were!
The last video had one of the black puppy/dog in the car with his owner/foster parent, he looked
so happy, so content.

Thank you, I needed to see those videos. The good DO win sometimes!

I love seeing happy pit bulls. They seem to look happier than any other dog! See, even my half pit, Zoe, is happy about the Vick dogs (although, the pic was taken a while ago!).  :bandance;
