Umm, your right.  I didn't ask you what a 420 was but I did ask you what a 555 was and you didn't know.  This is a public message board, is it not?  If someone could answer a question put toward someone else, is it against the rules to answer it?

I enjoyed  a beer or 2 and a glass of red  but over the last few months as my function has got worse i don't seem to enjoy it anymore just doesn't taste the same . Never smoked which is a bonus.

Well, I´m with Goofynina on an occasional "marguerita" !  Not very often but once in a blue moon is sure nice. I smoked for 30 years and then stopped ten years ago. Thank God! I can breath now. My doctor say that for every cigarette we smoke as Dx patients, we should do an extra hour on the machine!!!

Hyperlite is completely correct about the whole 420 thing.  It is basically ritual for some pot smokers to light up at 4:20 everyday.  Twice if they are awake for both am and pm.  I don't know where it came from but it does exist.

Ya and I only heard about it the last few years .. not when I used to .. I mean .. not when .. bah nevermind

Never smoked, just other peoples in billiard/snooker halls. Never had weed, smelt it, when my mates smoked it in the billiard/snooker halls. Drink only whisky. You missed one of the big three out gambling. All my mates did all three.I just did two the drinking and the gambling. Once again in the billiard/snooker halls. Then down in the back room of the hall for cards poker, 3 card, shoot nearly any card game you could gamble on. Then to make it even worse we all used to go down to the casino at least twice a week. Boy talk about wasting a lot of money, we were all idiots! Not gambled now for ten years. Did not get into trouble with it, but a few of my friends did. So lesson learnt.

I don't do a whole lot of either anymore - but the three of us know each other well.

I used to always light one up (this is after I "quit" mind you) after treatment if my bp was too low.  Now i bump it up with a pickle.

As far as drinking goes, I've quit beer due to its horrible desired-effect:quantity ratio.  I've instead learned the marvel of the vodka shot (marrying a Russian helped).

Well, I don't drink because I don't like to be incapacitated.  I don't smoke weed or do drugs for the same reason but I do smoke cigarette's.  I don't gamble.  Never have, never will.  I just don't see the attraction to throwing away money at random chance.

I grew up in a smoking household and have hated it since I was small. Had my first date with my husband stop
smoking if he wanted to continue to date me...which was 31 years of marriage.

I completely stopped drinking when my BUN was going up in 2003.  Now that I am on dialysis, I have had some
martini's but get "drunk" on just one, do where is the fun in that?  Besides, it makes me sooooooo thirsty and
need to be careful not to consume too much.

Yeah, that's true but with smoking, you at least get the pleasure to see your money burn.    Instead of with gambling, handing over your cash to someone else so they can buy a new car or something.  Either way, your throwing away your hard earned money.  I know it's not an excuse.  It's just a deductive incite.
