Tamales are a Mexican delicatesen. It is a corn dough (made with a flour called mazeca, which is corn based), then they are stuffed with chicken, beef or pork in a sauce (mole, green salsa, red salsa, etc), and then wrapped in a corn husk. After that you cook them  by steaming them, or in your microwave. They take time to cook, but is worth it. You can freeze them after.
By the way...is Taquitos, not tacquitos....the ending "ito" in Spanish makes things small or cute....

Ooh, I love patty melts, and I love tater tots.  Salads, I could love them depending.   :lol;

Tonight is sushi, with a few other random things.

I don't know what I just ate but it was delicious, Flower tortilla, Spanish rice, salsa, chorizo sausage, onion, hamburger, cheese, baked in the oven. I'm gonna burst... :thumbup;  I feel like the guy on Monty Pythons Flying circus who said he was going to bust.

tonight

pork fried rice (homeade with soy sauce)<-------I meant withOUT soy sauce
egg-drop soup

I have been experimenting with grape seed oil-I am impressed it has a really high flash point so you can fry safely with it,but the best part seems to be how little you actually need to fry something.

Scalloped potatoes, covered with onions, cream of mushroom soup, cheese and ham cut into small squares... put into a casserole dish and into the oven, mmmm delicious. Salad and green beans on the side.

They are not fasting for any real reason, unless they are getting cholesterol levels checked, then yeah fasting is recommended. It is just a way to KEEP The dietitian off their back, basically they are cheating to make their labs look better.  >:D

And as I told goofynina since she was OUT of Renagel, I told her to take "TUMS" or "ROLAIDS" as her binder, they WILL indeed do the job. But like usual she doesn't believe a word I say. Even though I have been in this game for over 13 years.  ::)

You all are eating good.  Are you really allowed to have all that?

I'm eating just under 1000 calories a day, low sodium, potassium and phosphorus and I'm GAINING weight.  >:(   My diet consists mostly of plain jasmine rice, apples and toast.  Meat has been making me sick, but I can keep down an occasional scrambled egg or a slice of cheddar.   :P

It may be from the PD solution.  It is said patients can absorb 300-500 calories from the glucose in the pd solution each day.
