What's for supper?

I am cooking a turkey today with all the trimmings. veggies, cranberry sauce , gravy, etc.  Raspberry pudding and sauce for desert.  Raspberries are ripe here now so going to pick a few fresh ones thois afternoon. Yum!!

Last night I finally settled on teriyaki stir-fry. Chicken breast, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and home-made low carb teriyaki sauce/marinade. I know, kind of an odd mix of veggies, but it was what we had in the house. In an attempt to make sure the chicken was thorougly cooked, I managed to get it a little dry, but the veggies were really good!

Tonight is a new recipe I found on foodnetwork.com. Bacon cheddar meatloaf. Instead of just putting the bacon and cheese on top, they're mixed into the meat. We'll see how it turns out. I'll probably also do rosemary roasted cauliflower (thanks, Twirl, that's our new favorite side dish!) and sauteed mushrooms on the side.

White pita, baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant spread) and radishes for crunch.  Blueberries with cool whip for dessert.

Tonight is going to be marinated flank steak on the grill and some sides of undertermined natured.  I'm thinking potatoes with either corn on the cob or carrots.  Probably corn though since I want to take advantage of it while it's in season.

Lunch was steak gorgonzola at Olive Garden with fettucinni plus chocolate cake for dessert. I also had a glass of white wine, soup and a diet coke.

I didn't eat yesterday, had way to much for me on Friday night. No veggies today or on most days. Use to eat them like crazy while on dialysis and when I worked in the produce section of the grocery store. My taste is out of wack along with my eating habbits.

Think it was Patton who told me that one girl in his school sent ice cream overnight and didn't expect it to melt  Is this what kids these days are growing up to be, Stupid?

I looked at the recipe.....chili just ain't chili without meat and peppers. I seldom eat cabbage unless it's in slaw and kidney beans are a no-no for me, as is tomato sauce.

No, it's not Mexican soup. It's a recipe my husband got at HEB. He makes it with tilapia and shrimp.

I'm working on the corndoggie pics... I can't figure out how to make them small enough. Hubby will have to do that.
