08/09 AV Fistula redone higher up on arm, first one did not work
07/11 Mass found on remaining kidney
08/11 Radical Nephrectomy, confirmed that mass was renal cell carcinoma
12/12 Whipple, mass on pancreas confirmed as renal cell carcinoma

chicken mushroom stroganoff (low sodium mushroom soup plus a little yogurt) with  green peas on egg noodles.  Husband will cook.  If only he could eat it for me too.

Ummmmm, that sounds good, willieandwinnie!  Marvin and I both love to have "breakfast" for supper.  Set two more places at the table -- we'll be there in...six hours!

W&W I will come and I'll bring your furchildren a surprise....my husband eats a lot.... I told him what you were having and he was ready to pack the van   ( I mean two surprises , they might not be good with sharing)


watermelon, strawberries, hot and sour soup--- the soup is take out, I tried to cook it once and :puke;  unsweet tea - my supper

grilled steak, large salad, baked tator, and beer  - 2 cans because he grilled ( and I'll take 2 swallows out of each beer) - supper for the "boys"

Tonight I was doing a trial run of a dish I am cooking for a dinner this weekend.  Soooo...my dinner consisted of a small bowl of soft polenta and goat cheese plus half a bagel with some butter and jam.  Right now the polenta is setting and tomorrow I'm going to broil it and make a marsala sauce to top it for dinner.  Much more exciting.

I'm saying "the hell with it" ( upset about surgery)

watermelon, strawberries, tea, ham, sweet tator fries ( baked) and HM strawberry cheese cake

twirl, I have a kitchenaid mixer with the ice cream attachment. I just put all this in there and walk away.

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest

Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, remove from the heat, and cool. Combine the syrup with the lemon and zest and pour into the bowl of an ice cream machine. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. After the sorbet is made, transfer to an airtight container. Cover tightly and freeze until ready to serve.

I love the ice cream maker.  You can also have the syrup made ahead and leave it in the fridge so it's pre-cooled for those last minute sorbet decisions.
