LOL!!! Isn't it funny how we have such odd dreams????

I bought a package and didn't have room to freeze the indivdual pieces of meat, so....ribbage and roastage!!!!! 

The roast will be made into a bbq this weekend for my fiancee! He's looking forward to it!

We had pork roast last night, too.  Oh so tender, along with northern beans , sliced potatoes cooked in
chicken broth with garlic, and cornbread.  So good it nearly makes you swallow your tongue.  ;D

I'm making a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and my husband begged me for corn bread with bacon. It's the only way he can have corn that I have found so far. Hint, Hint petey  :bow;

Grilled salmon with maple teriyaki glaze and pineapple salsa and a green salad. I know, the glaze sounds kinda weird, but it worked quite well with the salsa!

Turkey on sourdough, followed by an intense fruit salad.  I went wild in the produce section - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, green grapes, kiwi, and fresh pineapple.  Mix and top with whipped cream - yummmy!  It cost a fortune to buy that much fresh produce up here in the winter, but it was worth it.

Oh that fruit salad sounds go good.  I justify good food as something I WILL eat.  A lot of times
I eat only one meal a day, that's all I can handle. Today it was a bowl of my potato soup, with
broccoli. Oh it was so good.

Today, I went back to work for the first day in almost six weeks (I've been out on Family Leave since Marvin has had all of his recent problems).  After a hard, exhausting day of teaching high schoolers, I came home to find that Marvin had started supper.  He made a delicious spaghetti sauce, and all I had to do was cook the noodles!  I can't decide if it was the best meal I've had in a looooooong time because : (1) I didn't have to fix it all; or (2) Marvin actually felt like cooking.  It was good!

He's doing the low-carb diet (again! Lost 90 pounds last time.), so his lasagna is meat mixed with mushrooms and sauce, layered with cheese and pepperoni. He loves it. I fix it for him, but won't touch it, I'm a carbaholic.

I finally cooked for the first time in like 5 months. Made chicken enchiladas. Now I just hope I keep them down. It felt good to cook for myself again. I'd been living on sandwiches, yogurt, cereal and crackers basically all those months. Now that I can eat, I need to put on weight FAST. I'm too damn thin now...108 pounds. :'(
I'm going to have to take a road trip and stay with each and everyone of u. Need some good home cookin' to fatten me up. I guess thats what my mom is for, staying with her all of April...here I come 120's.  :rofl;

We had yellow split pea soup with dumplings for supper last night.  Not good for a renal diet - loads of phos and potassium but hubby's on nocturnal so he can eat it.  Doctor wanted to add phos to his bath last time but he said he would eat more . Big difference from being in center when he had to take binders to get rid of the phos. No binders since he started nocturnal!!!  :yahoo; At least he would get to enjoy it!!!  Today I have a sirloin roast in the slow cooker and going to make potato salad to have with it.
