do you put anything on your cottage chhese? I like pineapple, used to have catalna on it, or season salt.

Cottage cheese is good on EVERYTHING!!!!  I used to use it on salads rather than salad dressing!!!  AWESOME!!!!

Dinner was DELICIOUS!!!!  I had pizza tonight!!!  OMG!!!  Haven't had pizza in SOOOOO LONG!!!  LOTS OF CHEESE!!!  And red onions, green olives, and fresh mushrooms.... no suace, garlic butter a plenty......  Granted, I had to take an extra phoslo...but it was WELL worth the wait!!!!  Can't wait to do it again next month!!!

One of my cousin's daughters called this afternoon and said she made me supper and wanted to know if she could bring it over. What a sweet heart and so very an expected. The meatloaf was awesome along with the green bean casserole. I just loved it...Boxman

We managed to make it in to the Olive Garden before the witching hour hit last night.  Here the witching hour is when people cram the restaurants to capacity and you're looking at a long wait.

Anyway I did spaghetti with meatballs, salad, and breadsticks.  Finished the leftovers at midnight.  :thumbup;

Went to a restaurant last nite to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday. Everyone said their food was OK. I ordered the tacos (big fan of tacos) but when I bit into these things, they tasted like I was pouring a salt shaker in my mouth. The cake was good though...Boxman

We cook mostly at home.  I'm still a a little paranoid about bacteria and the portions are always so big.  The kids have gotten used to that and we love the dinner table time.  Silly but true.

Last night my oldest daughter and I made paninis with my new press and grill; fresh turkey and provolone.  They were delicious.

Some friends had a dinner party last night. They grilled marinated chicken breasts, and each family brought a side dish. There was mac and cheese, spaghetti, roasted veggies that had apricots and pecans (YUMMY!), cole slaw (low carb, made by my husband), and mango margaritas. Dessert was bananas that were warmed in a pan with butter, brown sugar, and peanuts, then drizzled with chocolate.

A couple of weeks ago, the lady that made the veggies last night provided us with a chicken she had made. Roasted with thyme, basil, coriander, and one or two others, though no salt, and cooked with potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet peppers and pineapple. I finally got the recipe, and can't wait to try making it myself, even though I have to eat all the potatoes by myself, since hubby's diet doesn't allow them and my son won't touch a potato that's not fried.

I know what you mean Vandie! I waited almost a year before going to my favorite Mexican restaurant...and I will always ask for my own basket of chips and salsa!

Have a venison roast in the slow cooker with carrots, celery, potatoes....I will eat after I do 2 hours of aqua fitness so it will taste extra good!!!! Speaking of cottage cheese - I love to spoon some onto a plate that has a little gravy on it - and I love it on baked potatoes rather than having sour cream!

Tonight I am making Brisket with rice, green beans, broccoli and a nice loaf of french bread..yum!  I'm hoping it comes out good, I'm using my sister's recipe, it sounds gross, but supposedly tastes delish....her kids swear by it.

I have tried the Olive Garden twice and just do not like their food...they do have a good salad dressing though.

Taco salad night here - I like mine with catalina dressing on the taco meat.  I'm even going to be good with the cheese - only a teeny bit!  My dietitian would be soooo proud!

I made the brisket last night and it was so yummy!  Very tender and flavorful.  Here's the recipe in case anyone wants to try:
3 1/2 - 5 lb of brisket
1 can of whole cranberry sauce
1 packet of dry onion soup mix

Pour cranberries over the brisket, then pour the onion soup mix over.  Cover with foil, cook at 325 degrees for 4-5 hours (you want to make sure the liquid doesn't burn in the pan).

I know this sounds gross, but it is sooo good.  You don't taste cranberies or onion soup, but it tastes YUM!

We went to Red Lobster for my birthday dinner. We split a shrimp cocktail appetizer; then I had lobster bisque, shrimp scampi and crab legs. My husband had brought a lemon cake with coconut icing with us, so had that for dessert. Not bad, though the crab legs were shredding pretty easily. The cake was yumnmy!

Oh my gosh. I'm supposed to go to Red Lobster this weekend, I hope we make it, the weather is not cooperating so far!

Yesterday I had food to cook up, so I made bbq ribs in the crockpot, stuck a pork roast in the oven (sloooow!), and made some
cheesy potato soup.

I ended up eating two bowls of soup, and a hunk of the ribs. Good stuff!!!!!

I know this is off topic, but I had a dream last night that all I had in the house to eat was pork!  Pork Ribs, Pork Roast, Pork Chops.  Very weird dream!  Good thing I didn't wake up this morning wanting bacon or sausages!   :lol;
