I'll try to be quiet but it was warm here today, it hit 82 at 4pm.

As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005

I just got home. I brought my son to donate blood.  This pint made 1 gallon!!! So proud.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

1986: kidney failure at 19 years old, cause unknown
PD for a year, in-centre haemo for 4 years
Transplant 1 lasted 21 years (Lucy: 1991 - 2012), failed due to Transplant glomerulopathy
5 weeks Haemo 2012
Transplant 2 (Maggie) installed Feb 13, 2013, returned to work June 17, 2013 average crea was 130, now is 140.
Infections in June / July, hospital 1-4 Aug for infections.

Over the years:  skin cancer; thyroidectomy, pneumonia; CMV; BK; 14 surgeries
Generally glossy and happy.

Thanks Galvo!  And you too, and a happy new year to all IHDers!!!  Getting excited now!  There's fireworks going off around the suburbs tonight!  For the first time in 10 years I'm not at a camping new years gathering I usually attend and it feels WEIRD!  Going to watch Johnny Dangerous in a minute with that lovely humorous fellow Gregory, then switch over to the fireworks at the opera house at midnight.  Its 10:13 pm now.  Where's my gin and tonic?!

Me too.  Had a little crash today: 70/50 so they stopped pulling fluids.  I have an extra kilo this weekend so I have to be extra careful.

 Oh I am ! I have on a Sweatshirt, with some kind of Stain on it, ( We wont go there ) no Bra,  a pair of PJ Pants, that are Blue, with Big White Poka Dots all over them and a Pair of My Husbands, Old Hunting Socks, ( from when He used to Hunt ) I'm ready to Party! -  by the way, MIZAR WINS!!!!!

  I am not going to Dialysis  any more this year.... Going to put it off until next year......

I am back from picking mom and dad from the Grethound station, glad I didn't have to drive to San Antonio to get them from the airport, Soooo... lets get the party started.
