Has anyone tried that upside down tomato planter?  My sister bought one, and it was buy one get one free, so she gave one to me.  I planted the tomato plant a couple of weeks ago.  The one I planted in the ground looks like its doing better than that one.

Haven't tried it, but it looks like it might be a good option for people with limited space for a garden.

Cherpen, the rain hasn't come yet in Illinois, but it is expected here . We are suppose to have T-Storms and be 83 today, a bad combination. I hate humidity, make me sick and want to  :puke;

I have to go outside Tinah... hot plus high ozone level.  But the car is air Condtioned of course however it'll sit in the sun and be miserable on the way home.  I open sunroof and windows and just put the ac on full blast.  Is everybody else sneezing?

Hey Tinah - I made that watermelon slushie yesterday.  My daughter and my sister both loved it.  I had a little bit too, and thought it was quite tasty and refreshing.  Sarah (my daughter) was actually having a rough time writing a story for school, something that she loves to do, but hit a rough spot and was getting all stressed over it.  I made the slushie, sat and talked with her for a bit while she relaxed and enjoyed it, then she was inspired enough to finish the story.  So, thanks!!!  It was perfect.

 :2thumbsup; That is GREAT  :2thumbsup;.... I used to LOVE them... I still do just can't have as much. You have to figure out if you like more watermelon or more sugar. But once you get it the way you like it you can make other ones like, Orange, Pineapple, Peach it is just so refreshing.

What is in a Dairy Queen Misty?
Basically ice chips (lots of it), fruit flavoring and some water blended together with the option of either having ice cream mixed in with it or have the ice cream poured into it  as a float

I bought some peaches at the fruit market last week.  After a night in the brown bag on the counter, they were fabulous.  I made my daughter a pineapple-peach smoothie that was to die for!!!!! It was fresh pineapple too!!  It's amazing what some fresh fruit, a little ice, and some yogurt can do!
