Not sure if it's the food, it is the same food the breeder has used.
Had an odd day of events, but meeting someone with a guide dog getting off the train from the city was the best part of the day. She just got her dog from the facility I should be going to in February and we know mutal people. She had a golden lab that is big for not even being 2 years old yet and well behaved.

Well had some slight good news today, had a call from another guide dog facility. After a phone interview I was approved for step 2, in home interview that will be scheaduled that takes 2 to 4 hours. So California trip maybe possible and hope to go during the winter  :rofl;

Three facilities down, one left I haven't heard from and only 1 this time around has denied me. However the first facility I ever applied to last year turns out to be a good thing that I was denied from them. I have not heard good things from people who went there and stories about trainers jumping ship due to the way things are ran there.

I emailed one of the graduates from the facility in CA due to nervous feeling. Their admissions process is so different from all the others. I don't want to waste someones time and money to come out, do the interview and deny me later when they ask for the forms from my opthalmologist if my eye report doesn't meet their qualifications.

I was trying to plan a trip to CA for a workshop, but can not do that since I do not know the area. Hoping I can get a flight and airport deal close to the guide dog facility so I sent an email to them for help. Kinda nervous to do this though because of unfamiliar area.

Chris, what part of California?

My 30th class reunion was this month.   I came from a small town in Connecticut and only had 163 people in my class so everyone knew everyone.  As much as I really wanted to attend, financially it was just not in the cards.  I have enjoyed looking at all the pictures of the event on facebook but it also kind of made me a little sad that I was not able to attend.  I just got a message from one of the event coordinators that she has some kind of book that everyone signed for me and wanted my address to send it to me.  Another classmate contacted me through facebook and asked me for my transplant coordinator's information as he really wants to donate a kidney to me.  He is the right blood type.  Even if it does not pan out it is very humbling that someone that I have not really talked to in 30 years would offer to start going through the process.  I am blown away.  Kind of hard to type all this with tears welling up.

I win!
