Eye impairments and blindness in one eye began in 95, major one during visit to the Indy 500 race of that year
   -glaucoma and surgery for that
     -cataract surgery twice on same eye (2000 - 2002). another one growing in good eye
     - vitrectomy in good eye post tx November 2003, totally blind for 4 months due to complications with meds and infection

Diagnosed with ESRD June 29, 1999
1st Dialysis - July 4, 1999
Last Dialysis - December 2, 2000

Kidney and Pancreas Transplant - December 3, 2000

Cataract Surgery on good eye - June 24, 2009
Knee Surgery 2010
2011/2012 in process of getting a guide dog
Guide Dog Training begins July 2, 2012 in NY
Guide Dog by end of July 2012
Next eye surgery late 2012 or 2013 if I feel like it

Opening Day for Pop Warner Football.  Team pictures this morning and our first scrimmage is at 5.  This is our last year of Pop Warner.  We got the players, coaches and cheerleaders that started together when the kids were 5 years old and took a picture of just them.  It is pretty cool that we have a number of people who have been together for 8-9 years.

Doing a ice cream hunt tomorrow for a specific flavor since I could not find it on the way home from puppy training.

The Peanut Butter Kisses come to mind. Not the Hershey new fangled ones, the old fashioned Halloween/ Thanksgiving variety that is taffy like made from peanut buter. They are always in a orange wrapper and a black wrapper that is like wax paper. And they are better when they are older and not so soft so you can suck on them so they last longer.

I just tell everyone my doc said I couldn't.  Actually, he said I shouldn't, but couldn't sounds better when I'm feeling like a big chicken!  I don't enjoy any kind of ride that jolts me all over the place.  I'm not a roller coaster fan at all.

Experienced a real elevator dropping16 years ago at an old physicians office. That wasn't the bad part, it was when the electricity went out and no fans to circulate air with a few people during a summer day.

Knott's Berry Farm just added a ride this year that are the swings that go around and around. Oh ya, it goes up 301 feet as you rotate.  I have not been yet but it looks pretty cool.

Born with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease
1995 - AV Fistula placed
Dec 7, 1999 cadaver transplant saved me from childhood dialysis!
10 transplant years = spleenectomy, gall bladder removed, liver biopsy, bone marrow aspiration.
July 27, 2010 Started dialysis for the first time ever.
June 21, 2011 2nd kidney nonrelated living donor
September 2013 Liver Cancer tumor.
October 2013 Ablation of liver tumor.
Now scans every 3 months to watch for new tumors.
Now Status 7 on the wait list for a liver.
How about another decade of solid health?
