Help... Emergency.

On TV they keep saying "wrap your pipes".  Where are my pipes?

Seriously? If you have a basement or crawl space and exposed pipes overhead, the hardware store should have insulation to wrap around your pipes.  If you keep the basement heated then you should not have a problem.

Thanks.  Yes I was serious.   No basement and low attic (one story and It is going to be toasty the next two days.  So I need to do nothing?  I like that part.

They said pets, plants and pipes.  No pets, plants are too  big for an old dialysis man so I'm done.  Except to start the chili and cocoa.

Our board (bored) meeting for tonight was canceled due to snow! Yay! :bandance;

However, the snow hasn't started yet!

Des, I'm so glad you are feeling better. Here is to the resiliency of the human spirit!  :2thumbsup; And that is great news about your daughter, too.

Chris, don't give up on the snow yet!  :rofl;   I'm not! But it will only count if we get a snow day, and I doubt that will happen!

Carl had his monthly clinic this AM and everything looks good. We get to discontinue Epogen again. Yay! One less thing to do.

Having a pretty tough week so far this week...so I thought I'd post just to say "I love IHD".

My SIL was diagnosed with Mantel Cell Lymhoma Sunday and it's not looking too good.  She is caregiver to her husband who is a stroke victim (2008) and now I am going to take on her care as well as her hubby's and my spouse also.  And to top it off, I got home late last night from the hospital (about 100 miles from home and it was snowing hard the whole way) and found a frozen/burst pipe in our garage.  So I got to clean up about 40 gallons of water on the floor, all the PD supplies are wet and the boxes have fallen apart.  Called someone out to fix it today.  Spouse is mad at me because he "might" have felt up to  looking at it this afternoon but he is not feeling good this morning (we have the water to the house turned off as of last night and I had to go outside to get water to make coffee and brush my teeth this morning) and...I'm just ready to scream!  But...I love IHD...it's great to read this thread and find a grin here and there!   ;D

Oh, Looneytunes. I just can't imagine. And to think I was bemoaning five ruptured bags in our delivery this week.

You must have a huge reserve of inner strength.

Looneytunes, I think if you start screaming a lot of us will join in.   AHHHHHRRRRRRRR!!!!   You have too much on your shoulders.   Is there anyone else that can give you a hand?   I would have called someone to fix the pipes also.  Waiting for your husband would just add more stress. Sometimes you just need to pay someone to do it.   When I read about all you are responsible for, I feel humbled.  You are amazing.  I think you win for today!     And I am very sorry about your SIL.   :cuddle;

Wow, Looneytunes, that is a lot. I live with one of those "I might be up to fixing that myself" types, and have learned that you have to give them a good shake once in a while and insist on calling in the pros. It is not a comment on their abilities (well, not always ;D) so much as a comment on the reality that we only have so much time and energy in a day. You did the right thing!

I know you can handle this - but don't forget to ask for help and delegate whenever possible. Good luck.

Looneytunes I live with "I will get to it, when I get to it man." I love the man but he put a note on the washing machine "Do not put a large load in this machine" instead of getting it fixed! Sigh!

It's official - snow day tomorrow. We had a heck of a time getting home tonight. Not so bad on the main highway, but after that....well, hard to get up our driveway. Spun the whole way!
