Only an old person sleeps late?  I can still in my  mind here the sounds of my Dad's voice, yelling "Get out of that bed now -- last time I'm going to call you -- your mother isn't driving you to school today -- etc."  Also remember my mom saying "they say when you get older you won't want to sleep late.   I'm older and they lied."

Well, sometimes in my dreams as an old dude,  I imagine I hear Dad yelling at me to get up.  I cover up my head and dream somebody is throwing ice water on me.  (yep, it used to happy).

My brother and I slept over at my grandparents house a lot on the weekends.  My grandfather, who was a farmer did not believe in sleeping late.  He would open the shades and let Oliver the cat in our room.  The cat for some reason would go absolutely ballistic attacking our feet under the covers until we got up.

There you go with that ferret again, Kathy.  :rofl; :rofl;

Dan, I know that adolescents sleep alot. They have to because their bodies are growing and changing so much.

I have to admit that the one thing I look forward to with retiring is getting up whenever I want instead of before the sun comes up!  :2thumbsup;

Here is my day--woke up late. First basketball game I had to be at was at 9:30.  Took longer than I thought to drive there. Got there at 10:15. Found a very sad little boy with a long face, "Nana you missed my game!".  Paxton (his sister) was cheering at his game.  She was just glad to see me, late or not.   Then we had an hour until the next game that another sister was cheering at.  The broken armed, one pompom cheerleader, Kiara!   Got home around 2.  First question when I walk in the door "Do you know where the phone is?"  I think it must be a trick question.  Nope, he just couldn't find the phone!  I had left a wonderful pot of chili simmering when I left. No word of thanks for the delicious lunch.   All you caregivers out there --- anyone want to give my husband lessons.  Or better yet, just take care of me??   :rofl;    :rofl;      (although I am very grateful for his insurance!   :rofl;  )     Putting on sleep pants and ignoring the world for the rest of the day.

I forgot, Melissa called a couple of hours ago and Zeke and Paxton are both throwing up.  I did have a lovely time holding them on my lap, getting and giving kisses and hugs today!    Germs?  Think I will take a long, hot shower before putting on the sleep pants   :rofl;

Oh, Paris,
I can so relate to the germs. I used to not worry about catching things from the kids at school or my granddaughters. Now I'm a tad bit anal about it.

Bathe in a 10% bleach solution. That should do it!  :rofl;

I know!!  The first year I taught, I caught every cold that walked in the door!   Never got sick again until the silly kidney stuff started.  Now, I just try to be careful (don't need to catch the flu)  but we can't put ourselves in a bubble   ---- so I keep antibacterial gel at the door and bathe in bleach   :rofl;   :rofl;   (air dry  -  towels carry bacteria!!   :rofl; )

I thought decaf was worse than normal - but that's phos I think, and you probably don't have to worry about that eh Chris?

Still have to worry about it because of my levels. So need more fluids and watch the phos, just not as strict as beeing on dialysis. Which reminds me to look at my latest labs. Picked them up and never looked at them yet. :urcrazy;
