Oh you are all just too kind, but thanks.
Wow, you are lucky Boxman, it took me from Nov.-April to heal enough to get fitted
for the prosthesis.  He said it was because of being diabetic and I suppose being on dialysis
didn't hellp.  You'll be up and moving in record time.

went and saw the surgeon on Tuesday, he said the leg is good to start messing around with the prothesis next week, then start therapy with it the week of 7/28. it took exactly 2 months for it to completely heal as compared to the 3 months of hell dealing with the foot before the amputation of it...Boxman

Must feel good to know that you are headed in the right direction!  I'm happy to hear that everything has healed up and is ready to go.

So, I guess I've forgotten... is the prosthesis already made and ready to go?  Do they have to do adjustments?  I kind of, sort of, remember seeing a NOVA  special or something like that on PBS years ago about how far they've come on the foot part of the prosthesis in terms of make it functionally correct.  They must be light years from there by now.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

So good to hear you are doing well. Hey, I never asked, but did you get any winners on those scratchers I sent you? Hope you did get them. Don't worry, I won't ask for a cut if you did win! lol  :cuddle;

No I'am not putting my foot in my mouth again, just wanted to update you all. This morning the guy came over with my new leg and foot to have my try it on and make
adjustments. I walked with it with the help of a walker, but it was very cool to just stand up. He will bring the final unit back in a week then I
will start therapy with it. It felt good wearing it but my balance is a little off yet. Will work on that.

Sorry ODAT I didn't win anything but thank you for your card and thoughts
