hello world, :welcomesign;
im a 29 year old sexy, crazy, and cool DIALYSIS "PERSON" NOT PATIENT! im a unique person, no doubt.  :pics; they definaltly dont make em like me. lol. i was diagnosed with lupus when i was about 12. my kidneys died  when i was 17. i started dialyzing myself at home (hemo) almost 4 years ago and just started on nxstage fri (october 26, '07). i heard about all the benifits from it iand thought id give it a whirl. :clap; WHY NOT! what more do i have to loose right. the things that i heard about it is so revolutionary and phenominal, i just couldnt resist being a part! :yahoo; they say that its like 2000 ppl on it in the nation. anyway, i have a million and one stories to tell but this is only an intro, right.

 :waving; Hi Myricle,
So happy to have you join us. I changed your font color - it was hard to read. If you want to go back and change a previous post just look for the "modify" button. Please keep it simple and try to stick with black text (as mentioned in SITE RULES All Members/New Members MUST read! http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=540.0) - thanks. I look forward to hearing more about Nxstage and how it works out for you.

 :welcomesign;

I was reading your intro, and it sounded almost identical to mine. I was dx'd with Lupus (SLE) at age 12, but went into kidney failure age 15 and went on chemo (cytoxin) for 18 months, and my failure reversed. They went into complete failure in 1999 and I went on hemo for 8 months when I got a transplant from my mom. Back on dialysis after having 2 kids, in 2004, and got a perfect match cadaver kidney this Jan.

Looking forward to talking to you!  :grouphug;

OMG! congrats!
lol. i was on cytoxin too. seems that i only recieved the "toxin" part cause my hair started falling out, i stayed nauseated, and i never had an appitite. all that for NOTHING! the dr.'s thought for some reason that it was gonna work. it just made me sick thats all. i just got on the transplant list. because my antibodies are so high, its gonna be a lil bit harder for them to find me a kidney. im cool though. im just gonna try this nxstage thingy out for awhile. lol. i think i read in one of epomans training documentations that he said it almost feels like hes addicted now. i think thats about how i feel, which is ironic because im on the machine more times a week which means more sticks. but it give more hope and leisure. i think thats the addiction. beeing free again. some ppl eat breakfast every morning, some walk or jog. i do treatments for 2 hours. thats how i see it.
ps. did epoman die? i saw someone wrote r.i.p. epoman. what happened?
