I am in the process of accomplishing the ability to sit gingerly on the toilet, pray (and I'm not a religious person) while I pee as quickly as I can, and gingerly stand up again.  I think this weekend is going to include visits to lots of places with public toilet facilities.  Roll on Monday ... (whose bluddy idea was it to have a new bathroom?)

Aced two on line quizzes and haven't done a thing since.  Ah, well, at least I accomplished something useful.  Maybe laundry next.  I've got one of those stuffy head colds that makes your eyes water, so reading and doing a lot of homework isn't very appealing.

I had to rewash everything I wore and washed last week. Seems I have an allergic reaction to Kirkland brand detergent, so back to All and a rewash.  I did three loads of clothes so far.  Luckily no towels went in this last week. Then went to lunch with friends, then home.  Still doing laundry.

I worked all weekend and woke up to emails suggesting that I do not know what I am doing. I am having a very hard time with this job recently. I don't feel especially welcome as of late.

Oh, and Gwyn and I drove all the way out to the hospital, drove into the car lot, I realised I forgot the trial tubes at home, we went all the way back home, back to hospital, got one of my favorite techs who had the first vein die early in the draw and had to restick. Not a big deal, just sort of an early sign of how the day was going to progress.

That is awful to hear, Kit. You know that Costco will take that detergent right back and at least give you a cash card for it, right? No receipt needed, just your member card. (I love Costco!)

:Kit n Stik;    Nothing!   Got home from Dialysis at midnight - machine refused to start. Watch Pats v. Jets and was tired but I could not get to sleep. I was playing chess on computer at 9 am! I finally got a couple of hours but had to get up by noon as hubby was going out and we had a plumber coming. Plumber never made it and I slept in my chair from 1-4:30.

I taught at school today....
Then we went to my husband's mother grave site. Today is the anniversary of her death.
Then we went to eat
Then to the school supply store
Then to Best Buy
Then to the Good will.
Then home.. Shew!

Are you sure the plumber didn't make it or did you just sleep through his door-knocking?!

yes, Poppy.. having heat is a nice thing.. *G*

I called Telus today, to ask about the long distance charges on my bill.  I thought they had been charged to my phone, and I couldn't figure that out, because I rarely make any calls on my phone.  Turns out they were on my brother's phone, not mine.  So, I paid the bill, and texted my brother, telling him what he owes.  I have no problem with suspending the phone if he doesn't pay

Volunteered today again at the courthouse.  Spent 4 straight hours working with a non-English speaking, black-and-blue Vietnamese woman and her friend who had come along to translate.  We filled out out all the forms needed to start her divorce and file emergency motions to keep her abusive, drug-addicted husband away from her and her kids, and out of her apartment.  Wow, if you think court forms are confusing in English, try figuring them out while filtering the information through someone who is speaking English as a second language herself.  We got through it, got them all filled out, and I sent them down to file it all officially.  When they left, they kept thanking me - and I just wanted to congratulate her for being strong enough to step up and do it to protect her kids when she was clearly terrified of him.

I woke up, spent 10 minutes trying to get my 6 year old out of bed.  Got ready for work, made lunches, listened to about 50 different things what my son wanted for Christmas while on the way to his school.    Ran around at work like a crazy woman and of course by time I get off its snowing outside so I got to drive in the snow with people who have lived in WI their whole lives but act like its the first time they have driven in snow. Picked up my son from my mothers house and listened to 50 more things he wants for Christmas. lol.  Went home helped him with his homework and made dinner.  Oh I get to sit down for a second and then I had to start setting up for dialysis.  Now I am laying in bed on D playing on the computer.  Even busier day tomorrow....

How does my car know that I have a little extra money? I took it into the shop today for headlight fix.  Ended up with a motor needed for the headlight.

This was after a good day at work.

It's brilliant when women (or men) finally find the courage to leave their abusive partners (been there, done that, best accomplishment of my life!)

Thanks for the tip on posting pics, boswife. I just didn't look far enough down the page. I've compressed this so hope it comes through small.
This is me on my pushbike - pre-dialysis (I'm a bit healthier looking now!)
I have been out poisoning more burr. Makes me feel good when I see where I've been and the burrs are looking a bit sick.

Today was a beautiful day here in the Ozarks...sunny, calm and 55 degrees (F).  Got out and put up a fence section (about 50 feet) and put in a gate with hubby's help.  Today was his first GOOD day since November 5th!  YAY!   :cheer:

Well Thank You Boswife.  That means a lot to me.  I was telling my BF about how wonderful everyone on IHD is.  He is happy I have people to talk to that are so kind and thoughtful.  So, my Bf doesn't know I know about he is going to propose to me on Christmas!  I can't wait to say YES!  He means the world to me and one day I can only hope that I can repay him for all the long hours he has dedicated to me.

Not only did I accomplish spending too much money on myself today, I sent my sis a link to the website for the local store I was at with fabulous handmade jewelry in exactly her style.  She called me evil.  Wahahahahahaha!   >:D
