I came in 0.1 under my base weight. Me good!

I did that yesterday... 99.9.. *G*

I went to the Santa Claus parade this evening.  I took pictures, but they didn't really turn out, as the parade is after dark, and for some reason, all my pics were more to the right than I thought they were.. I couldn't have been looking through the viewfinder right... I got video of Santa Claus, though

I am in the process of dying my hair safe in the knowledge that I'm having my bathroom stripped out and reinstalled over this coming week.  And what's the betting that I get NO hair dye anywhere other than on my head, for the first time EVER!? (That will be a MASSIVE accomplishment - I've been dying my hair since I was thirteen!)

:bandance; Day 6 of bike riding. Am now up to 3km. Yesterday I had a head wind - that made it hard work. Even if I stop now, it's the most consistent I've ever been.
Gee, Poppylicious, you are one mad hair dyer! Did you not like your original colour? My eldest daughter has the most beautiful auburn hair and occasionally has it highlighted - I love it natural as it is so pretty. I probably SHOULD dye - I'm what you'd call an ash blonde if you were feeling generous or if you were brutally honest, you'd just say I was going grey!

Went picking fruit off our trees. We have an orange, grapefruit and a lemon tree(actually more like a large bush). The oranges and grapefruit are the PCTs and the lemons are for the kitchen. One of the PCTs loves my grapefruit.

I have never dyed my hair.  My mother will not let me.  She's afraid that what's left of my hair will fall out.  I've wanted to dye my hair a dark red since I was about 15

Mom and I went to my dad's today.  We stole all his hot water.. *LOL*  shower felt nice, though.  I'm hoping that we will have hot water here in the next few weeks, before the real winter cold sets in, after Christmas.

No hot water Riki?  Yikes, you poor thing!

My natural hair colour is probably the same beautiful auburn as your daughters; I probably dyed it for the first time because people kept telling me how gorgeous it was.  It was the same with the length; I have very think hair and at when I was a tiddler it was down to my waist and I had it chopped off because people loved it so much.  I've never gone in for wacky colours, but it has tended to be dark brown or black with a hint of red or purple depending on my mood when in the hair dying shop.

I only dye it now because I get the occasional grey hair peeking through.

 ;D

Today I have accomplished coldness and the ability to tune out the bathroom man making lots of banging noises in my bathroom.

Actually, I have accomplished a thing or two, and it's early afternoon yet.

I am taking a wee break from work. There was a catastrophic mistake made that went through, by my count, at least 4 checkpoints in order to make it out to the general public. I spent the morning fixing that, but my poor colleague now has to fix it with the people, which is much more difficult than all the work I had to do with computers.

Gwyn could use some extremely positive thoughts and cheering right now. Perhaps I'll have more to say on that later....

Already accomplished a few hours of work today, and it's only 9:30!

I have started getting up around 5AM and I love it. Never been a morning person, but this new schedule is really working for me. Also the new transplant.

Positive thoughts and cheering to Gwyn! :grouphug;  I hope that whatever the problem may be, it will be easily resolved.

I've had a strand or two of grey hair ever since I was 17, but by the time I was 35, the amusement value was well gone.  I dyed my hair for some years to hide the grey, but about 6 years ago, I bought a membership to the Park District's pool (it's beautiful, situated by the river), and I swim most days during the summer.  I'd always wash my hair after a swim, so I was literally watching my money go down the drain.  This was around the time that I found out how bad my kidneys actually were, so I decided to let my hair revert to its natural grey streaked glory and just be thankful that I survived long enough to get grey in the first place.  Fortunately, it must look pretty good because I get a LOT of comments from people about how nice my hair looks, so I don't mind the grey.

I've accomplished a lot over the past few days.  I've had my laundry room completely redone, and it has gone from a black hole that absorbed all light and substance to something right out of Martha Stewart's domain.  I have bought and put together those chrome storage racks and am in the process of shifting all my stuff from my computer room onto the racks, and it all is looking amazing!  I now have plenty of storage space for all of my NxStage supplies when needed, so it makes me feel good that I've done one more thing to ready myself for D.

Thanks so much, MM. It actually was not a problem - he was at a job interview for work he really wanted and we really needed him to get. See here for details:

Oh MooseMom, i too am arranging and fixing things for our NxStage supplies and it's beginning to wear me out..  Things are not getting "pretty" like yours, but i am at least getting things ready so it can just move into our lives easily..  Busy day for me/us too.  Also, hubby and i walked around the block two seperate times today.  Very happy about that because he's been feeling so lousy with his bruised back, that this was a real treat.

Going for a walk in the fresh air is the best way to put some pep in your life.  I hope your hubby's back doesn't give him too much trouble.  Back pain can really get you down.

Going so well with my push bike riding - and it's getting easier. Hope I keep it up (I have commitment issues!)
On hair dying - my Mum (now a fab 89!!!!) used to dye but has gone grey and looks younger because of it. Now if I could just convince her to stop perming - her social life is regulated around her perms and she hates the last few weeks before the next one. Years ago my Dad had a huge mirror put up in the bathroom so his six daughters could see the back of their hair - so Mum can exactly how badly she needs her next perm  :)
My dream is to have a laundry with a drain hole in the floor!
Cariad, I would love to be a morning person but fail sadly. Now I'm on overnight PD, going to bed late means getting up late so I'm worse than ever. I'm TRYING to change. You've given me hope.

I taught similar figures and how to solve for X today.  I am number overloaded.  One more number tonight and I will run screaming from the room! I think I did every problem four times today.

So swamped with work - it never ends. Had a blistering argument with a co-worker over the phone. It is an open secret that her job is in jeopardy and my colleague has asked me to 'vampire her' which I thought was a funny neologism. She meant that I need to 'suck as much information from her as possible while she is here' because she is an expert on a computer program that is essential to our work. If she is sacked, I become the resident computer program expert, a title I'd honestly rather not have. Back to work, and it's 7:30PM here.

Today I worked for 8 hours, and will go to the hospital to pick up lab reports.  Yesterday, however, was a much more full day...

Yesterday I woke up, got ready, drove to pick up a friend.  Then I dropped my car off at the dealer to get an oil change, tire rotation and car wash, and they kindly shuttled me and my friend to the hospital for my transplant evaluation.  That took longer than i thought it would due to the surgeons being over-busy, but the visit ended about an hour later than projected, and the last thing I did was get 16 vials of blood drawn.  I was there from 10:30 to about 5, at which time my car dealer picked us up, I paid for my services and got my car.  Then, we drove to a nearby mall to pick up another friend.  Headed downtown to park in a garage.  Had a Coke and Vodka for Richard, then walked over to the theater and saw Hair from front row seats!!!  Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!  After that, we all went to Dick's for burgers and fries (it's a local chain - the one we went to some of us like to call "Richard's" - because it's the only one of them that has indoor seating!).  Then dropped one friend off at her car at the mall, the other friend off at her home, visited my nephew kitty, then finally came home and went to bed at about midnight.  Whew!!!

I did absolutely nothing all week.  I spent several hours today looking at recipes for blondies, which, if you don't know, are essentially brownies without chocolate, although some of what I read today says that some would argue with that definition.  As long as it has the same texture of a brownie, I don't care.

Tomorrow, dialysis and furnace installation, Saturday, Santa Claus parade and supper with the girls..
