I celebrated my 2-year divorce anniversary by taking out the trash again.   ;D

Other than that, I haven't done a thing yet except read the entire Sunday paper.  My homework awaits, though.

I met my daughter's boyfriend and had breakfast with her and him and my hubby.  Also went to Kaiser and sat with a friend who is in the hospital.  Then home.

no.. I haven't accomplished much lately.  Got bunches I could be doing though..

I want to write a short note to go along with my Secret Santa gift.
I need to scan some pictures for the PEI Kidney Foundation facebook page
I want to do some baking, but I keep forgetting to ask Mom to buy me some butter.. *L*
I should get some more writing done
I should probably pack some of the crap up that's in my room, in case Mom finally throws in the towel and we move out of this dump.
OH..Something I really should do is find my battery charger for my camera so I can take pictures at the Bowl for Research on Sunday

yeah.. I'll get on all this stuff.... tomorrow.. *L*

Jackie, from our hospital clinic, got a kidney on Monday. She was called at 5:30 am to go to the Royal London. She messaged us on the way to hospital. I messaged back and she returned it on Wednesday reporting that she was doing well and feeling fine.
We have had 4 transplants in less than a month.    :shy;   :beer1;   :bow;  Yea for us.
Everyone is so happy for Jackie and the others. We have a wonderful feeling of community among our patients, nurses, techs and docs.

That's great that there is a sense of camaraderie amongst everyone at your clinic. All the best for Jackie and her new kidney -  hope she continues to feel fine.

Gasps in horror! I went Christmas shopping today!

Me, too!  I only need to get a couple of gift cards and I'm done.  I know what places I'm getting the cards from, so all I have to do is decide if I want to spend an afternoon running to the shops or order them online.  Online sounds easier, but a couple of hours shopping will save me plenty of time the next two years deleting junk e-mail from stores I don't shop at for myself.

Today, I'm doing laundry, and not much else.

I went bowling today, a fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation here on PEI.  I wasn't impressed, because they had the blacklight on, and I'm visually impaired.  My mother had to take me to the lane when it was my turn, and hand me the ball because I couldn't see them.  They said that since we hadn't rented the whole place out, they couldn't turn the lights back on for us.

My dialysis nurses were there, though.  It was a bit funny to watch them.

I missed a bus, then another bus, and a fourteen mile one hour journey became a fifty mile three and a half hour journey.

(The achievement being that I walked very fast [practically ran *gasp*] for a mile and a half, trying to catch one of the buses that I missed; if I don't lose weight this week I'll be well miffed, innit.)

I was also rude to a shoe shop person.  I didn't mean to be but he wasn't being very helpful, and I was tired and bored and knew that I still had over two hours before I'd get home, even though I should have been at home by then already ... My rudeness did result in him finding the boots he said he didn't have, so that was an achievement.

I was home alone when I heard the hens cackling and went out to discover one goat nibbling on some weeds and the other goat hanging with one foot hanging stuck in the fence. I spent an hour trying to get it loose. Had to bring a cage and lifted the 150lb billy goat onto the cage and finally got the foot out. Ran around trying to rope the goats to put them back into the pen. He walked around without any injury. I then went to Main street and did some Christmas shopping. Busy, busy  day.

Felt good but tired easily so I have not done much. I took garbage out -  :2thumbsup;. I took a nap and feel bit better. Hubby is doing dinner today which is great as that is usually my job. I will do some mash potatoes as he will have chips and, of course, they are not good for me (or you -  :bow;.

I cycled three miles on the very posh (usually for decoration only) exercise bike in the living room.  Go me!

I did 1.5km on my pushbike, with three dogs who like to run in front of me and then STOP!!! We have lots of working dogs and I like to give different ones a run when I'm pedalling. I want to ride my bike EVERY day as I am a bit worried about my weight creeping up - I've always been thin and since starting PD have been gaining. Some gain was good, too much will not be. And I have no commitment, so while I can tick Day 1 off, I already feel the following days of bike riding are in jeopardy
