Good grief KK, I really hate to hear all of this.  MSRA is the pits.  I'm
going to have to double up on the prayers.  Know you are in my heart and on my mind.

Love, Mimi

thanks for the update carol. i'd love to talk to her, but am afraid of calling and waking her up, so i'll settle for updates from those of you who do call. has the hospital address been posted? a card or two might be nice.

feel better soon kitkatz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tried to call but no answer. I hate when that happens because I picture her being awakened by the phone and unable to reach it, or in the bathroom for the first time, or the doctor finally stopped by and the phone is interrupting the conversation, UGH, and then I worry, hmmm... where the heck could she be?
The last 3 numbers of her room phone are 319 and just as I finished dialing I noticed that the time on my computer was 3:19... eerie huh? Or just coincidence. Oh well, I will try again later, I hate to bug her though.

If you do get through again, see if you can get a full address.  I didn't think about it when I called.  I was happy to get through to her once, but I think cards are easier to deal with when you are a patient.

This is what happens when I stay away for too long! I have only just learnt of your hospital stay Kitkatz. I am sorry for being so slack!

Sending hugs and prayers that you are up and running soon. Hand the stick to Victor and give the instructions to hit anything in his path!

Quick update

I spoke with my mom last night... she sounded LOADS better. Her body is finally kicking back on and starting to function normally, well as normal as it can. Her left arm is sore, the Vampires (phlebotomists) keep sticking her everywhere to get blood, she is crabby and complaining to everyone but these are all good signs that she is getting better.

She said the infection is going down and that doctor was glad he took out the graft as that seemed to be one of the causes of it.

I will call and talk to her again today and let you know how she is doing!!

I talked to Kit and she tells everyone hello!  Her infection has subsided.  She has another catheter in her groin for dialysis.

She said she could use some phone calls so: Here is her phone# 909 - 427 - 6319.

                          :flower;

She sounded pretty good!

I spoke with her briefly and she sounds better, although she's pretty isolated so she really appreciates phone calls. No idea when she'll head home as they want to be assured that the MRSA is gone before letting her go.

Oh KK...I just read this thread, called and spoke with your husband who said you had escaped your prison to get some dialysis in another area of the hospital...at least it was a field trip away from the same scenery.  You are in my prayers!
