Yea!  Jbeany is sewing again!  That is a great positive   :2thumbsup;     I am making pajamas for a charity that gives new pajamas and books to children.  I love the feel of fabrics and the whole process of starting with a flat piece of fabic and ending up with something to wear or use.    I am very excited that Jbeany is creating her bags agian   :clap;

Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.

Well, I think today's positive is more my cat's than mine.  I found the power cord for my electric lap throw and plugged it in for her today.  She's sprawled belly up across the throw on the couch, all 4 feet in the air.

I guess my positive is getting to laugh at her!

Great two hour workout today.  I sweat a lot and felt as strong as a bull.  The downside...now I'm so hungry I could eat the entire bull and a calf or two.

Home haemo 1980-1985 (self-cannulated with 15 gauge sharps)
Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Jbeany, I hope you can post some  :pics; of your totes. I would love to see them!

Well it took hubby's sister 2 days to see what we were having to deal with.  She called this morning and she just can't handle it and the ball is rolling again for a retirement home.  At least this time his sister realizes what we have been going through and why we are doing what we had to do.  Hopefully everything will be approved by the end of the week or early next week.  She is going to stay with Walt's sister until she is placed. We can't go there much though because she gets confused and wants to come home.  I am looking forward to things working out.  It is hard to do but I am hoping things will happen quickly and peacefully.  I have butterflies in my belly as big as elephants I think!!  Well that's my positive for today - his sister finally sees what we were going through!!  Plus it was sunny today and that's always a positive!!

Del, it was the hardest decision my siblings and I ever made, but for Mom's sake she needed to be in a safe environment with someone always there.   Your mother in law will only get more and more confused.  Being in the retirement home, she will have others around and she will be taken care of.  You and Walt have been angels to have provided her with a home all these years.  Now it is your turn.  You both need to beable to go and do things without the worry.   I can only hope my children will take care of me like you have taken care of her.  You have earned your place in heaven!!   My thoughts will be with you during this last move.   :cuddle;

Oh, Del. You are right. At least now she understands and is on board with the process.

You know this is for the best and your MIL will be safer in a home.

My dad lives in assisted living and he rather likes it. I hope your MIL does, too.

My positive for today is that I had a follow up with my doctor to go over some lab work and everything (well almost) looks really good. There was a marginal reading on my thyroid, but she is going to have another test done to rule out any problem. I don't even have to give any more blood since they still have the sample from last week. So, I'm healthy! Yea!

Busy, busy, busy today.  Fixed my dryer - the vent flap on the outside was both rusted and frozen shut.  Like a car with a potato in the exhaust, dryers don't run well without ventilation.  I popped the flap loose and finished the laundry.  Then I started to vacuum up the dryer lint I spread all over the hall checking to see if the dryer's heating duct was clogged with lint.  The vacuum wasn't working either.  Took that apart, changed the belt, and cleared out a clog in the bottom.  Everything is back to working perfectly.  (Thanks Mom, for teaching me by example to repair stuff by myself.)

Sounds like me jbeany. I often fix stuff myself!!!  Sometimes I just ask hubby to make him feel like I ned him! LOL.  It is a beautiful day here and we are going for a walk in the woods when I get my morning coffe finished . It is 12:44 and I am having my first coffee!!   Another positive I think the butterflies or wahstever that has been in my belly lately (from stress) are starting to clear out.

Hanify's cough being gone IS a positive.  My positive for today is that I stayed upright and vertical walking in the cow sh@# when I went to feed hay.  It's deep and wet and really smelly!

Postive note     spring is almost here.....bulbs are coming up and the frogs are using my dogs dodo to catch flys.....   see pic    they even change color to fool those bugs......
