My daily positive is that I have some hot cocoa and it makes me a little happier....

Those other two guys were wrong.  I'm no 2 or 6 years old.  I'm closer to 10.  mmmm, hot cocoa.

My postive is coming to IHD and getting to know some interersting epople like Willowtreewren.petey, Dan, and others.  Also one of our members was told she didn't need dialysis anymore, Lori (aka: Maker) and one got a Kindey (J.B.).  It has been a good day to be on dialysis.

This may sound like it isn't a positive, but hold on...

Last night we had to abort Carl's dialysis treatment within the first few minutes. Between the two of us we made so many mistakes that we couldn't get them corrected, plus he lost all the blood in the lines and ended up with a whole bag of saline drained into him. But the good news....

1. He's okay. I'll have to pull off some extra fluid today.
2. We will HAVE to cancel our parent meeting this week in order to make up this lost treatment. We hate having to do parent meetings. We would MUCH rather do dialysis!

 My positive for the day...I woke up with some new found energy! Turned the radio to the oldies station and cleaned out 4 kitchen cupboards. :clap; Gotta love that old time rock & role. :bandance; :bandance;

    My daily positive, I don't have to do anything today but help bring in groceries.  :bandance; :bandance; :bandance; The day is mine otherwise.   Made breakfast, something rare around our house (ther was a time I use to cook but I gave that up oput of laziness), watched a movie, and now I am here.   :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I'm in a groove with sewing tote bags and purses, and they are turning out beautifully.  I'm hoping to have several hundred done by spring so I can sell them at a craft show.

My positive is I think we have a few things sorted out.  Hubby's mom is moving to live with her daughter. It's only about a 5 minute walk from here!!  It will take away a lot of our stress. Hopefully Hubby's blood pressure will go down now!! She is very forgetful and confused a lot of the time. Hubby was afraid to hook up to dialysis to do nocturnal because he was afraid she would wander outside or fall in the house.  We have had her with us for 27 years and his father until he died 8 years ago.  It is time I think for his sister to take her turn. She offered -we didn't have to ask. We did start the process though of getting things ready to get her in a retirement center. She will still come here to sleep sometimes or for meals and where she is so close we can visit anytime.  I think she is happy about the move!! They are home all the time because they have a small convenience store attached to their house.  Plus her daughter has a 40 year old developmentally delayed daughter who is home all the time. She will have a lot more company.  She was spending a lot of time here alone because I am working and hubby is always outside doing something . Plus we are still young and like to go places.

Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.
