Wouldn't be weird fish dw!!!  Some pan fried cod, fish cakes ( fish and potato mashed together and fried, fish and brewis, pea soup, baked beans,homemade bread along with lots of other stuff.

Positive for today - hubby and I went for a walk. First time he's been able to go for a walk since he fell over a week ago!!

I'm a teacher too and I slept in until 10:30 this morning!!!

Today is sunny and I was able to take both my dogs out separately and give them both some one on one time with their human.  Now that was special as I romped through the park individually with them.  I have good doggies.

I got most of my annual flowers and my containers planted yesterday and today.  Now I'm researching and dreaming about what I'm going to plant in a new bed that I'm "renovating".  Dug out some hugely overgrown spirea and can now choose some new things.  Always very exciting for me but very difficult to actually reach a decision.

Going out for dinner tonight with a good friend I haven't seen in quite a while.

Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Was 400ml under my goal weight this morning.  Hee hee.  I can have a big drink if I like....such small pleasures!!

Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.

hanify, did you lose some weight?  Whenever I end up under my goal and still feel fine, I take that as my new goal.  That way, I keep working my way down gradually without having to challenge my dry weight all the time.

Losing weight is a positive in my book!

No - I'm one of the lucky ones who is trying to gain weight not lose it!  I do keep an eye on my bp and it's indicating my goal weight is right.  So, to make sure I don't get dehydrated I shall HAVE to drink a lovely big glass of something ... anything... ha ha ha ha ha ha.  See, other people don't get this kind of pleasure out of a drink.  Poor things.  I'm so glad I'm a dialysis patient...

my family enjoyed the pool and Scottie (7 months of age) loved the pool -
we are a family of fish -
made lots of food and ate almost none of it -
including cookies and pies and potato salad and my husband bar-b-qued chicken -
went to dialysis but it was such a pleasant day  - I can not remember dialysis

No positives for the last two days?  Can't be that no one's got any.  Everyone just to busy to post them?

I'll catch up with yesterday's - stopped at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, looking for free standing coat and hat racks to display my tote bags on during the next craft show.  Tucked in the back corner of the furniture section was a really old metal store display.  A metal circle about 5 feet off the ground on a pole with feet.  The circle has big metal prongs all the way around it.  It will hold at least 20 tote bags, and more if I want to double layer them.  It was an ugly gun metal gray, with chipped paint and a missing foot.  Taped to the top was a handwritten sign that said "Belts", with a 50 cent price tag stuck to the sign.  I figured they had been displaying belts on it in the thrift store - at 50 cents each.  I wasn't even sure it was for sale, but figured I'd ask.  I hauled it up front and asked the woman at the counter how much it was.  She looked at the tag and said, "50 cents."  I handed over my quarters and ran for the door before someone else came out front and told her it wasn't for sale!  $2.00 bucks for new feet at the hardware store, and $5 for textured spray paint in a nice crisp linen color.  Less than $8 for the perfect display.  I love a bargain!

I have visited this thread over the past couple days, but I'm going through a bit of a down period. should be feeling just fine, but tears are lingering just under the surface, it seems.

Yesterday was my first day on a new system - something like ambidextrous - but I know my solution bags aren't both left and right handed so it's not that ... which means I don't have to do a bag during the day anymore.  Wahoo.  Such freedom.  Yay.

Hope you are feeling more up willowtree.  I have days like that. take time to do something just for you. I treated myself to a massage today.  I also went to the gym for an hour after supper.  That always makes me feel good!!!
