I woke up to a some home made breakfest burritos and grapefruit juice. And I didn't have to make any of it.  Then my little brother walked in with a bottle of my fav wine.  Good day indeed!

My hubby and I took a nap on our patio on Saturday.  We turned on some music, each of us took a lounger, leaned back, closed our eyes and enjoyed the beautiful day in our own way.  He surprised me by doing all the household chores and shopping.  He even did all the yard work.  So there we were on Saturday with nothing to do but to take a nap and soak it in.  IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!  My hubby is too good to me.  :)   :cuddle;

Sounds absolutely wonderful, Cherpep.

Today my positive is that all the staff were back at school and I am working a normal week!  :2thumbsup;

Today's positive - I did all my errands and chores after this morning's dialysis session (except for the sink full of dishes sitting behind me), so I can stay home tomorrow and do what I want all day.  Which is sewing with the giant stash of free fabric I just got.

I also got a refund check in the mail today, a return on a prescription that I paid for that my insurance finally coughed up the full amount.

I took my profits from the craft show and bought some things that were past due - socks, underwear - boring stuff, but important when they wear out.  Things I've been making do with are getting pitched today!

Have TWO positives that I can mention - finished marking all final exam scripts, all projects and portfolios, entered all the grades, and GOT MY CHECK for the second half of the semester. :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;
I teach French part-time at our community college, and part-time teachers are paid at mid-term and on submission of final grades.
Got my new 8 gig flash/jump drive that I got for less than 20 dollars and it is so small and cute. It is hanging on my cell phone.

My other positive is that, thanks to IHD, I never heat my bags anymore.  I stick them on a rack by the fire and that's plenty.  Think of the power I'm saving not having my heater pack on!  Yay IHD!

I spent an hour grading persuasive essays today for the 7th graders.  Every child turned something in to be graded to me! As usual some were great, others sucked rocks.

I am in the middle of grading a major writing composition. I have two classes - one is ESL and the low group and the other is the GT/high group. Would you believe the ESL/low group has much better writing than the GT group? I can barely bring myself to read through the high group's writing. It is so boooooring. zzzzzz

My positive for today was reading through the low group's writing. After pulling teeth all year, they can all write a pretty good piece!

School is closed for the morning because of an unexpected power outage.Power came back on about 8:45 but school had already been closed!!!  The leaves are starting to open on the trees and everything is starting to look green again!!  My daffodils are out in bloom too!!! Hubby can move around a lot better today. Lots of positives today.  Only downer is that after a beautiful weekend it is raining and a little bit foggy this morning.

I slept 14-1/2 hours straight last night.  Guess I'm finally caught up on sleep!

I like this post - it helps me to have to think of something positive I can add, even on my worst days, and reading everyone's good things is a mental boost, too.

I dreamed last night about picking trilliums.  You can't actually pick them in real life - they are a protected wildflower.  The woods around here are carpeted with them right now, though, and I was enjoying the blankets of white stars as I was driving back and forth to the flea market.

Jbeany, my sister and I were talking about Trilliums last night!  Growing up in the woods, it was our favorite wild flower and  we loved finding the first ones in spring.  She bought us two "starts" last year, hers came up but mine didn't.   Trillium and Jack in the Pulpets - two great  treasures we looked for!    Thanks for sharing your dream.  Enjoy them for me when you drive by them again.   :2thumbsup;

This happened last Thursday, the 14th but I believe it is worth telling on here, TODAY!    I was scheduled to have a breast biopsy for transplant purposes and before they were to do the surgery, they did a mammogram so that the doctor would be able to know exactly where he was to perform the biopsy and lo and behold, the lump was GONE!!!   I don't know about others religious beliefs but I choose to give Jesus the glory because I feel, that is where it should be given, to HIM!   Needless to say, the surgery was cancelled!!!!    :bandance;

My 19 year old son is starting a new job today. A big deal in this county where unemployment is 12%. He is also doing very well in our local Junior College. A far cry from where he was this time last year (a University drop-out).I am happy for him.

 :yahoo;  Hurray for Tyny!

My other positive for the day - having a quick come-back when I needed one!

I ran down to the post office, and ran into one of my neighbors.  She's one of those people that gets blessed a lot - as in someone we all use the phrase "Bless her heart" on because most of the time, she's a snoopy gossip.  She came charging up to me with "I hear your ex-husband is getting married!"  I do know this - we still talk often, and we're still on good terms.  So I shrugged and answered, "Yup, sometime in June, I think."
"You don't know the date?"
"Nope.  I wasn't really hoping for an invite."

She didn't have a reply for that.  Wahahhahahahaha!
