It's my last day at work today, sad as I'm being made redundant but the positive side is that I'll have more time with my Mum & Dad and will be able to slow down a little (I'll have a much smaller income but money isn't everything!) :)

Rose I hope you will enjoy your last day at work.  Soak it all in and smile as you leave.

I am very happy that when walking my dog this morning I got to walk down the street with a new friend as he was headed to the bus stop.  He is handicapped, needs a cane to walk, has to stop and rest because his legs just are not good.  I feel blessed to have met him while riding the bus during the stormy winter months.

I had a wonderful send off from work today, lovely flowers and gifts but more touchingly several cards telling me how much I have been appreciated and how I have helped people along the way.  I try to be helpful but sometimes all you can do is lend an ear or a shoulder.  Today it was nice to know that had helped in some way.  Our 'Team' went for lunch at a local restaurant, it was relaxed and happy and I left with a smile and happy memories (oh and a full tummy!!).  I wasn't sure what to expect of today but it's been great.

Hubby is in charge of fixing dinner tonight (yay!) and he's decided on BBQ ribs.  I've checked the ingredients and I can make this Weight Watchers friendly so I'm happy about that.  Also today I made my first appointment with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago (where Dr. John Carter from ER got his kidney!  :) ) for an evaluation for a transplant.  It's not until May29th so I'm hoping to drop a few lbs. and get going on an exercise routine before then so I'm in as good a shape as I can get.

It's looking like today is going to be a really great day!   :2thumbsup;

Last night I saw "Miss Saigon" with family.

Yesterday, my surgeon told me he is starting me on IVIg therapy with Rituxan to hopefully lower my pra.  Wasn't looking forward to yesterday and it turned out to be a very positive day!

Kitkatz, when your housekeeper is done,could she come here?   :2thumbsup;

Just got back from having a colonoscopy today, no polyps. Now I can send the results
to UCLA and stay on the transplant list. Best news in many months.

I pushed my dry weight today and didn't crash, so I've lost more weight.  :bandance;

Yesterday, I noticed the sign on the new dog groomer's shop - "Bark Bath and Beyond" - hehehehehehe.

Today's positive - I finished my taxes!   :bandance;  All ready to be mailed out in the morning.  I owe no federal, and only $3 state.  (I'm a good girl; I claimed my one internet purchase this year, so I owe $3 in Use Tax.)  But I don't care - I'm DONE!  Hurray!

I agree about the taxes jbeany.  We are getting a tax refund this year for the first time in eons.  My husband didn't work much for almost a year.  He has to pre-pay a certain amount of taxes and benefits because he is incorporated and he didn't know how much he would be working while waiting for the transplant date. We could have used the money last year, but it's okay in the end. I'll happily take it now, thank you very much!

And another thing to be happy about is the SUN!  I did a little gardening this afternoon and just came in for a break.
