Well.... NO EASTER EGGS for me I have been to clinic today and my phosphate levels are up. I was more concerned about my potassium levels but they are great. Apparently that is common with PD patients, you loose potassium and protein.I thought I was really good at throwing down those binders but obviously not enough What suggestions can anyone give me to get the level down. Do I just give in and take more binders (ahh ) or try to alter my diet again?
This is a dumb question but what are binders and what is the purpose....my husband's doctor said his phosphates and phosphorous are fine but I still need to know all this.....Also will taking amino acids delay the dialysis?
