Ever since I doscovered the online dialysis world, I have "met" many, many people. I was very sad to read of her passing, but so glad to have "known" her these past years.
Kathy was a writer/editor, and although we had only exchanged brief messages, I loved reading her blog when she would post. Of course, I am always scared when bloggers stop posting, and in her case, Kathy stopped writing a while ago. She documented her struggles and dealt with so much in her life in the years that she was sick, her strength is coping was always an inspiration to me. As was her drive to write (historical fiction) even when facing floods, amputation, diabetes and dialysis. She didn't write much on IHD (just 10 posts) but she shared, and every post in every thread weaves the beautiful tapestry that is IHD.
RIP Kathy, you are missed. I was always hoping that you went silent because you were working on your book.
