IHD Mini-Meet
«
on:
March 15, 2010, 12:23:58 PM »
Hi all IHD Members,
Marc, (YLGuy) and I wouldlike to host n IHD mini-meet this summer. The mobile home park I live in has a barbecue area, which would hold, I think, about 24 people, but accomadations can be made for more. There are 2 gas barbecues, we also have a pool and a jacuzzi. We also could have it inside and our club house holds about 140 people. We are thinking a pot luck would work. That way no one would have an exorbitant amount of money to come up with. If those outside of the area ( Riverside, Ca. ) would like to come, there is a brand new hotel coming up with in walking distance. Let me know what you think and if you would want to come, and if so give me a month that would be good for you and we will proceed. Sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Sounds like fun. I may just catch a plane and join you. Post the date when you know it. Any time IHD'ers get together is a fun time.

I would love to come! Thank you for organizing this.
I don't have much planned for summer yet so am flexible on dates.
I know there's a Comfort Inn in Riverside with rates from $79 to $84 per night (that's in July.)

I will put it on my calendar. Look forward to it. Expect 2 people to be there...Kitkatz and Victor. Can I bring my friend Jennifer?
Need any more help? I could get raffle things together. If you want to raffle some stuff off.

Yes, please bring Jennifer. I have put an ad into our monthly newsletter for any other kidney or dialysis people. My firend Virg is also coming. She is amazing. Had not been to a Dr. in 30 years until she was so tired, she couldn't move. After all tests were done, she had a permacath put in and is now doing PD. Her gfr was 2!!!!! What a scare that was for her. I will pm you KitKatz for guidance. Thanks

Where is this exactly located? I live in New York. I would love to stop by. What's the address? I'll look it up in mapquest or flight arrangements. This will be so nice.

So sorry cdbrooklyn. Guess I did not mention that. We would just love to have you, but you have to bring me a New York Pizza, ( Just kidding) Riverside is about 60 miles inland from Los Angeles. The closest airport would be Ontario ( ONT). If you need a ride from the airport, it can be arranged. Also, there is a new hotel going up practically across the street from us. I cant think of the name of it offhand, but will check it out if you would like me to.
