I'm at a loss for words.  I cannot imagine what you've been going through.  I am terribly sorry for the loss of your Father.  That alone is extremely hard to deal with.  You are a very strong Man.  So glad you're back!  I hope that by removing the rest of the finger that will end the infection 100%.     :cuddle;

Sorry to hear of all the crap you have and are going through. I hope you feel better soon. As Bill suggested, Voice Recognition software may help you, but cost maybe prohibitive. The main player in that type of software is Dragon naturally Speaking software and the basic model starts at $99. Then there is the training that takes time, so it's not simple instal and use.

Mark it it SO good to see you post but SO bad to hear what's been happening to you.  One of those things alone would be bad enough but to have it all piled on................oh my goodness life really sucks!

You know you've been missed and now we know all the issues I join the others in saying just a smiley posted on here will let us know you are up and about and alive.

Hope you got my card, I just wanted you to know that you are missed by people all over the world.

Hope the op goes well, that you heal quickly and that this is the end of all the cr*p you've had thrown at you.  :cuddle;

 :bestwishes;
Hopefully things turn for the best.  Keep fighting the pain.  I have this nerve pain on my foot that I'm taking Lyrica and it doesn't help much, but I'm fighting the pain.  That's all we can do is bare it and deal with it until it stops.  However, it won't since we are on dialysis so the only things is to look on the brighter part of things.
 :cuddle;   Take care, Rivy

Hi all, The past 3 months have been just brutal. My Father pasted away and I had a number of medical problems. They started with my right ring finger. I got a little cut that would not heal and then got infected. The Doc decided to cut out half the nail with hopes that the infection which was underneath it would drain. Instead it just created a bigger wound that would not heal and so on 4/30/09 they cut the finger off above the middle knuckle. At the same time this was going on I started to get, after many different diagnoses, a case of Epididymitis (inflammation of the scrotum) It was the most painful thing I ever went through. I could not lay down or back the only time the pain would slow was when I sat up. So I never got any sleep I would ride around the house all night just to try and keep the pain at bay. They put me on just about every pain pill there is all the way up to a time release morphine pill. I wound up overdosing on them. I took one and felt no relief so I took another. Well both kicked in and I was kicked in the a.. I was falling out of my electric chair every where, out on the driveway in the kitchen coming down my ramps and so on. I wound up puking my guts out and had to go to the hospital. Also for some reason I could not lay back in my dialysis chair. I would get hooked up and the pain would start ooh would it start. I could only sit up for it to be not so bad but then my BP would drop and the techs where trying to make me lay back but I wouldn't. I wound up cutting my treatments short every time. I just told them to take me off. So now I am losing time at dialysis with no end in sight. To make matters worse I started to develop a urinary tract problem which was not allowing me to pee regular. What urine I make was backing up and cause bacteria to continue to inflame the epididmytis so the pain continued and all I did was live on pain pills I was so out of it all the time. I finally had surgery on the urinary tract and slowly all that went away. back to the finger this whole time the finger was not healing and was always infected and painful. They put me on IV vancomycin (antibiotic very powerful) which was given M-W-F while on dialysis and I am still on it. So to end my diary of the last 3 months I went to the hand Doc today and guess what...the rest of the finger has to come off. Surgery will be next Thursday. The last thing I am dealing with (ooh come on pile some more on) is a problem with my hands shaking it makes it very hard to type but at least they don't hurt. So there you have it thanks for all your thoughts and prayers know that they mean a lot...Boxman
