Yesterday our annual Halloween party.  Walnut and feta salad, penne pasta, filet mignon, ravioli, baked chicken, crab cakes, creme brulee, cookies, cakes, pies etc.  The party lasted two hours but I had to eat quick and leave for a meeting off lot.  Good thing because it kept me from eating too much.

Tonight..baked lasagna, cheese pizza, Italian salad, garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks...in the middle of this post the door bell rang and here came Kathy with a plate of shrimp scampi...no we aren't touching that tonight.  :bandance;

Am I the only person who has eaten this week?  Yesterday was our favorite Mexican brunch at Margarita's in Valencia.  All my favorites..chili rellenos. enchiladas, chicken fajitas, huevos rancheros, corn cake, Mexican spinach salad, waffles, and flan.  We ate only once yesterday!

Tonight the smell of homemade Pad Thai is wafting into the office from the kitchen.  Its almost ready.

This week I'm doing a soup diet that I read in Good Housekeeping magazine. Yesterday I made a HUGE pot (2 pots actually!) of delicious vegetable soup. Every day I follow the meal plan and can eat the veggie soup if I get hungry - for dinner I add different things to the soup. Today was cottage cheese with bananas, strawberries and walnuts for breakfast; a roast beef sandwich, soup and milk for lunch; and for dinner I added white kidney beans, whole wheat rotini, basil and romano cheese to the soup to turn it into Minestrone, plus I had fresh strawberries topped with strawberry yogurt. yummmm!

Yesterday we had a cheese and cracker plate with Stilton and lemon rind and a cheddar with cranberries.  This was followed by a jumbo shrimp (oxymoron) cocktail.  Broiled giant lobster tails with lemon butter, prime rib and French fries made up the entree.  A bottle of champagne enhanced the meal and a piece of cheesecake ended our anniversary meal.  A sufficient amount of renagel covered my many sins.  I love to cook when I'm not dealing with technology.

We had a Cuban chicken dish (don't know what it is called) but it was a cubed chicken simmered in a sort of sweet/tart sauce and served with black beans and rice.  It was delicious..even our teenager liked it which is saying something.  I didn't know she wanted more so she got mad when she found out I had eaten the rest of it!
