Tonight was grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.  Hopefully it will be ok since he did take his binders and he has dialysis tomorrow morning.

Tonight is an omelet(te?) with fresh sauteed mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper, with just a little diced ham for taste.  And of course, rice.   :)

Tonight we are eating "Vegetable Tacos" a recipe from my mom, that I taught my wife how to cook.

Hard Shell Corn Tortillas fried in oil (growing up we used LARD), Ground Beef (seasoned with salt, pepper) , Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes, Cabbage (red or green), and "Veg-all" then add Tabasco "Green" sauce to the top.

DAMN these are good! If you are not sure what veg-all is see attached picture and check out: http://www.vegall.com/products/

By the way Vegetable Tacos are NOT Renal Friendly  :o >:D

Veg-all - that brings back memories - my mom used to cook with that all the time. . .

Veg-all casserole, made with ground beef and tomato sauce, with the big can of veg-all mixed in, then heat it all together until the sauce boils, pop open a can of fridge biscuits and cover the mix, pop it in the oven until the biscuits are golden brown on top, and serve immediately. . .   yummmmmmmm.

I haven't thought of that in soooooo long. . .

I don't know but my appetite for solid food has diminished very much.  All I want to do is DRINK!!! (not alcohol).  I no longer eat a plate of food; I only eat about 2 oz of meat.  But I just want to DRINK!!!!!!  I have been having to have between 3 and 4 kilos taken off each time.

Tonight was my brother's 20th birthday, and we had his favorite foods - not very renal friendly though.  BBQ ribs, broccoli casserole, rolls, rice, "dirt" cake, fruit salad.
