crawdads, boiled corn and potatoes, these fresh cherries that soaked in some kind of liquor for a long time, beer from a hose, limes and fresh fruit

Marvin's Famous Baked Spaghetti recipe --

ingredients: one medium white onion, one green bell pepper, a pound of hamburger meat, one can of Cream of Mushroom soup, one small jar of mushrooms (optional), one small jar of Ragu Traditional Spaghetti Sauce, one small can of tomato paste, one small can of crushed tomatoes, 1/4 cup of water, medium box of spaghetti noodles, shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping -- and amount depends on how much you like and can eat cheese -- Marvin uses 1 - 2 cups)

Directions: Boil spaghetti noodles and brown hamburger meat.  Chop up your onion and bell pepper and add it to hamburger meat while it's cooking.  When the onions and peppers are tender and the meat is brown, drain.  Add all other ingredients (but only add 1/3 of shredded cheddar cheese) to hamburger mixture.  When noodles are tender, drain and place them in a baking dish.  Stir in the hamburger/tomato/soup/paste mixture with the noodles.  Top with remaining shredded cheese and bake on 350 for about 45 minutes (check often to make sure your cheese on top doesn't burn).  Marvin said make SURE you add the 1/4 cup of water to the sauce mixture -- if you don't, it will end up too dry (and the water bakes out).

It's delicious!

petey, how do you make baked spaghetti. It sounds good. Marvin is such a sweetie to have dinner ready for you. Can I borrow him?????
...and, willieandwinnie -- there are days I would GIVE you Marvin.  But, then, you'd have to help him with his treatments.  Wait...you can do that!  When other girls ask to borrow him, that's always my response.  But, it won't work with you, now will it?

petey, when you have one of those days when you feel like giving Marvin away it would be an honor for me to help with his treatments. Len says that after 5 years of sticking him I got good at it. Now that's something to put on my resume.  :rofl;

Homemade ham and cheese biscuits.  I make mini-hot pockets out of them, and fill with a mix of diced onion and ham, and then blend with cream cheese and seasonings.  Yummy!

We are having spare ribs, homemade egg noodles with parsley sauce and baby carrots. I was going to make some beer bread, but I keep running out of time. Maybe tomorrow.  ::)

twirl, I actually made homemade spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Len wants a red velvet cake but they are a lot of work, and my hands stay red for days.   :rofl;

A really nice piece of steak, baked sweet potatoes,belgian endive salad,  green beans and frozen vanilla yogurt.  Best of all,  my husband bought it, prepped it and all I did was cook the steak.
I love food but I seldom feel like eating these days.

Depends on how ambitious I am when I start craving them - I have done homemade buiscuits (more renal friendly if you make them from scratch!), but the flaky grand size ones in the cans are a lot faster!  Pop, flatten, stuff, seal, and in the oven for about 12 minutes.  I don't saute the onions - I like them with a bit of crunch.  I never do the same seasonings or filling twice - it's always whatever is on the counter or in the fridge.  I've used cream cheese as a base, as well as an assortment of other soft cheeses.  One time, for lack of other options in the fridge, I used port wine cheese cracker spread.  Oooooo - yummy!  This time was about a 1/4 of a block of cream cheese, a tablespoon of shredded sharp cheddar, the ham and onion, some pepper, and a dash of chopped parsley.  I've used diced turkey or even bacon bits for a meaty filling.  There isn't a recipe for these things - you just smush stuff together and wing it - they always turn out!
