Last night was chili beans on rice, with sour cream & some shredded cheese, with broccoli.
Tonight is pork chops with pasta & broccoli.
Not sure what I'm making night after!!! I'm staying with my dad, til I can handle being on my own, and am doing the cooking.
HE'S happy about that!!!

Tonight I'm making my own fried rice concoction, using my cumin scented basmati rice pilaf as the base, adding onions and garlic, green peas, sugar snaps, carrot, and bits of oven roasted turkey breast. My own unsalted home roasted cashews on top for my husband but none for me. Fresh Ontario strawberries for dessert.
I make the pilaf with a low sodium chicken stock but then I don't add any soy sauce when I turn it into fried rice, Indian style. I wish I had fresh coriander for the top but can't be bothered to go back (oops, I really mean, send Lee back) to the store.

We are having our neighbors over for dinner and game night tonight. They have two cute little daughters aged 2 and 4. I'm making deviled eggs because they are the girls' favorite, smashed potato salad, tomato/mozarella salad for my hubby, and probably green beans. My husband will be putting T-bone steaks on the grill. I can almost smell the steaks!
