Since you seem so interested in doing a cookbook here is a link to the one the dietitian at my clinic gives to the patients that request them.  Hopefully it will give you a few ideas of how to make your own, and maybe some ideas for recipes as well.  I don't suggest using these recipes though since they are copy righted.  For some reason the link doesn't start you off at the beginning so just click the arrow button to bring you to the beginning.

I sent for the cookbook. I think it looks great.  We may have more recipes already on this site though. The cook book gives general information then gives some recipes with ingredient count.

What if I did an E-book? And also I could just get the book  binded and not worry about a publisher? I could just drop them round a few places and if people want to buy them they can.

You could make up a quick website and people could order the books from  you and pay you via paypal and money could just go directly to your bank account and you could send out the books ;)

Thats a good idea to make a website, I didnt think of that. That would be good for those with the internet. I also wanted to put hard copies around, as I know there are alot of people who dont have the net and have no interest in getting it.

Thanks for the offer Epoman, ill consider it. I do already have free webspace with my ISP which might do me to start with. One problem is I would need help designing it, and how to make it. I have started making a website before but I dont really remember how I did it and my other half doesnt really have alot of free time to show me.

Sites are so cheap you could buy for example www.ambersrenalcookbook.com for less than $9.00 a year, and I can host it for free. I can put together a website and I can set up your email address for example sales@ambersrenalcookbook.com or amber@ambersrenalcookbook.com or what ever email you would like. You want to look as professional as possible. If you need help just let me know.

Ive got a few recipes together. At the moment Im just saving all ideas and recipes in a folder. The recipes I have so far are just ones that I have concocted myself and should be suited for dialysis. I've just realised its going to be alot of work to gather accurate nutritional information, as I definitely want to include that in the book. I would also love ideas from other Dx people on what foods they would like to see. My taste in foods are probably totally different to everyone so I want to include a variety of foods for everyone. I'll make another thread for that.
