Are you talking about Heaven on Seven?  We are going to their Naperville outpost in two weeks with friends just for the heck of it.  DH is on a spicy food mission and that should fit the bill.

I've had alligator a few times before - well prepared, it's not too much different from chicken.  And andioulle (sp?) sausage is just yummy.

We have a Cajun restaurant here, but after reading menu in the window, I wont go in. To many strange foods and none of them just with beef or chicken only.

Not sure of the name, but this one is in downtown Plainfield. t must be good (depending on taste) because it is always busy even at lunch when I take trips to he post office. Next time I travel to the post office  will look at the name.

Cajun Connection is just outside Utica (by Starved Rock). Even my husband,  who is not an adventurous eater has had Gator there. Personally, I could live on Red Beans and Rice! Their Pecan Pie is to die for!

We're only about 30 miles away. We usually visit several times a year. Love going in winter, they have cabins with fireplaces!

Week two of bed rest and what was in my chest is now effecting the head area. Haven't felt this bad in a long time. Accident pains seem a cakewalk! Just can't do everything from iPhone tho especially read news articles on Facebook. Miss my insomnia too! So weird to sleep a day and night through on some days.

The way I've had it was, like I said, a coffee cake. Baked in a ring with a "prize" baked inside. Whoever finds the "prize" is the "king" and is responsible for making the next King's Cake. In the spirit of Mardi Gras, the "king" generally means "king of fools"!
