   We have  been to the airport many times .... we use to haul only aircraft engines all over the states.... Been to most of the airports big and small.....      I am sure he will be fine... he has been driving for 38 years.....

     I don't see how you deal with kids.... I like kids  and had a great time with mine..... and I do enjoy my grands when I see them   ( which is not very often...sadly )   but I think I would go crazy dealing with them......  I can barely deal with my two attention deficit sib huskies.....   they require so much attention......  I buy them too many toys.... and blankets... and treats.....  ( I think my youngest daughter Sara is jealous...she was the baby and now she is not...)     its   Juno and ketah......  doggy babies.......LOL

Des, can I puleeze, purty puleeze go camping with you?  :bow;

Hi,

You are more than welcome ... but you have to hang on to the trailer as the car is full.  :rofl; This place has a spa, game drive, horseback riding, game viewing by quad bike, natural warm water sping, mini-golf, pub, restaurant, shop, butchery, chemist, 4 pools, kiddy park, pool tables so just to make it very clear - my idea of camping is close to Chris's :2thumbsup;

I found a horseback riding place somewhat nearby and hopefully go this spring. Only $45 per hour, so I will be  spending more than one hour. No one I know wants to go, so I'll go alone.

IHD - Time to wake up and smell the roses......   :yahoo;

It just keeps getting cooler here,  -8 degrees this morning but on a high note the wind is not blowing at this particular moment in time.    :snowman;

 As Aleta mentioned big storm headed up the coast but it is suppose to stay south of us.

Have a great day   :santahat;

Raleigh is all excited about the possibility of snow today!  We don't get December snow---- some years we don't get any snow.  But, when the storms come from the south, that is when snow hits us.   They have already brined the roads.  If we get some, it will be gone by tomorrow, but for today there will be lots of happy children   :2thumbsup;    I think it would be magical.  I will be here baking and making candy---I have the day all planned!   :clap;

Have a wonderful time camping, Des.  The trip sounds wonderful  :thumbup;

Good Morning everyone.....

Des     what is a chemist and a butchery......for camping...... dont understand......

If I remember correctly, a cheist to us is a pharmacist/pharmacy, but butchery I am not sure but seems to me that it is a butcher shop or meat department in a grocery store.

Will have to wait for an answer later tonight when she's back on and up  ;D

Chemist = drugstore , I think that is what you call it over there.... shop that sells medicine.

Butchery = place that sells meat....

They are very close by so this camping trip is not out in the wild

The area is breathtakingly beautiful, glad you like it. But we are going to another resort in Badplaas not the Trout fishing lodge. I will find the name for you.

Got it.   Forever resorts Badplaas

and while you lovely people have a peep at where I am going to on the 23 Dec ... I am off to bed because it is way past my bedtime.

nighty night ;)

We had lovely, big fat, fluffy snowflakes today!     :2thumbsup;   Schools let out early and the kids were thrilled.   We are suppose to have a little snow here and there until tomorrow.  It is only the 3rd time in 50 years that it has snowed in December.  There is nothing on the ground and probably won't be, but it is fun to see magical snowflakes   :clap;
