I'm back and I am winning again!    You guys sure have a lot to talk about in a day!  Toes, top hats, corian counters, homemade bread --- wow!   My day went fine.  Both Melissa and Beth went with me, so it was a girls party in the infusion room.   It was an interesting day at the transplant clinic.  When I first got there, the waiting area was full.  I am usually the first one there.  Then I realized they were all reading transplant material and that they were all there for the first orientation meeting.  Lots of nervous people.  I told my girls that I wanted to have a group meeting right there!  Just wanted them to relax and not be so worried.  I restrained myself and didn't go around hugging them.   :rofl;   Then, while having the infusion, another woman was brought into the room.  She had been called for a liver transplant!  It was very exciting to see the process in motion.  Before I left, they were taking her to the operating room.  It was all very interesting to watch and I am praying she has a successful transplant.   That was my day!

And I win, I win, I win!!   :yahoo;

Paris, I am so glad to hear your treatment went well!  We kept the thread going in your absence as you can see!

I think you would have made a great group leader for those newbies!

Try to catch up on here, so first I know what Dan is talking about on both the boot and ulcer. I had one that took many years to finally heal, but I didn't use the boot. I just kept getting them deburred and wrapped them each day with neosporin.
The boot if I am able to continue with school I will be learning how to make at some point. In essence, just think of a Frankenstein boot made out of plastic, but also can be made out of leather depending on what type of problem.

Paris, glad your day went well. What you should have said to them was to be prepared for a test at the end  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

Chris, When you learn to make the boot you will get very rich.  They cost a bundle of money (to the insurance company).  Mine is kind of a fuzzy material and is fasten with velcro.  Its the strongest velcro I ever saw.  And you are right about Frankinstein.  He said no neosporin but I think it would help.  All if do is spray with saline solution and wrap.

Good Morning All, can't stay. I have some people coming over. Dan I know what material you are talking about, I have some downstairs from projects I did in class, but can't think of the name. It has many uses in the orthotics field

I have the ******* boot on...

Pedro, the dude who cuts on my toe, said he wished he had invented those boots...

I'm up and 1/2 a shower.  Be glad when I can take a whole one.  Can anybody guess where I'm going this morning?  Hint: It involves an ugly recliner.
