And ironically, we have yet to dialyze with the PureFlow system!  :rofl;

It was kind of funny, because the NxStage rep was making the nurses do everything so they could train the next folks. she had to be able to check them off that they know how to do each step and teach it.

A new chassis will be delivered on Monday (I sure hope they don't drop it!). So we will need to empty the contents from this one and reconnect them to the new one. That will be good practice.  :2thumbsup;

I'll have to draw a dialysis sample from the mix before our monthly visits to the clinic and keep it on ice until we get there. So I'll have to add that to doing the Kt/v each month. A month of supplies and two PAKs werre delivered today along with the chassis for the system. Can hardly believe how LITTLE there is. Whew, a whole new area for collecting junk will be available in my garage!  :rofl;

I'll post this in the NxStage area, too.  :clap;

Now back to a "normal" life!

My cardioversion last week didn't work and that #2f)nG doctor didn't bother to tell me till I went in today and demanded the results.  Can't they do that?  Just not tell you?  I'm going to tell everyone I know about it.  Not to worry because it's not necessary to have a perfect rhythm as long as you take the thinners (which I get in dialysis anyway).  But it really urinates me off.

Hehe.  I have this tiny ulcer on the bottom of my toe that won't seem to heal (diabetic) but doesn't get any worse either.  Every few weeks Pedra (the orthopedic surgeon) will scrape and clean it and preach at me about wearing my boot (hard to explain but its ugly and heavy).  That's all.

Neph and nurses at center have been trying to get me to register with transplant center... suppose to fill out some paper work at center tomorrow.  I am concerned about the age thing (old age sucks) but now I'm thinking that they can't fix the rhythm of my heart will be a bigger thing.  I guess the paper work she's bring tomorrow will answer that.  Mainly I'm ticked that I spent the whole day at the hospital on Thursday thinking it was done and they chose not to even tell me about it.  I can't wait to tell her "boss" about it.

Have them weigh the boot  by itself and write the number down.  Then all they have to do is subtract that number from your total weight each time (or at least each time you are wearing the boot like you are supposed to!).
