Hey, all.

Paris, we had a lovely evening at Mellow Mushroom. I'm all mellowed out. Turned out that there were 11 of us!

I haven't sen the Sonic commercial either. but it sounds hilarious.  :rofl;

Didn't even tell you that they did not have the right dialysate at the clinic, so they ran Carl's treatment with the wrong one. Said that it wouldn't hurt for one treatment.  :P

They were going to just come out to the house at 12:30 tomorrow, but on checking with UPS discovered that the machine is not guaranteed to arrive by then.  :bow;

So the NxStage rep is trying to train the nurses as she is training us...

Our treatment is over at 12:15 and she told the nurses that she wanted both of them to come in as soon as we were off so she could cause alarms and go through handling them with them. They never show. Finally after about 15 minutes of stalling she does it with just the two of us. When they show up, she says that she'll go over it with them AT OUR HOUSE tomorrow.

Holy Crap! :Kit n Stik; The training that just won't ever end!  :urcrazy;

The machine is pretty straightforward with text prompts for everything. If we were learning this on our own, we would be done by now.

And the nurses wanted us to do a treatment while they were here. I pointed out that it might be better for us to do that treatment at another time so Carl could actually see what was going on with the machine. Duh!  :waiting;

this, too shall pass!

Yea, David, me too. I forgot the most priceless statement of the day.

NxStage Rep: "Well, my flight is not until Friday morning, so I can stay as late as needed tomorrow night to get you set up."

That's if the machine isn't delivered until late.

No, Cherpep, I didn't stash everything under the couch. It's all hauled to a spare bedroom ~ the one my granddaughter will be using!  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

Aleta, just check online early am with UPS to see if it is on the truck. If I remember right, it will say enroute for delivery. They load their trucks at 4:30 am for deliveries that day and is put into their system to show online. If you know the average time a UPS truck comes to your neighborhood, that's usually when you will get you delivery. Only have had one delivery past 6:30 pm a night.

Today was a mixed up day. PT was cancelled this morning and later rescheduled in the afternon due to the pt not coming in, so the day I had planned went out the window to get things done. I had to get my monthly labs done, but had to wait till 1 pm for a 12 hour trough level. Got there in plenty of time, but didn't get blood drawn till the 13 hour mark because of all the people waiting to be regestered for various test and a wait for labs. When the old department manager was there, she made the tech's take all the transplant patients an imune compromised patients first so we would not get sick Hope to get another satisfaction survey so I can complain  ;D

Still had to much time to kill before my afternoon pt so went to the hardware store to get a couple storage bins. Problem, they moved them and nowhere near all the other types of storage bins like it use to be. Trying to find a person to help in a big box hardware store, what a pain. Ended up getting out at 3:11 pm and appointment is at 3:15 pm, oops! Had to get on the highway and book. Got on the highway and naturally got in the left lane. A few miles down on the highway all the sudden a Mercedes comes flying by faster than me. I was doing only 80. Well if he can do that, I'll push my vehicle. Cop will catch him first than me  ;D :rofl;  I never could catch up with him even though my spedometer was pegged, but I did get there  in 20 minutes though  :2thumbsup; Coming home though is another story, Rush Hour traffic started! >:(  Left at 4:00 and got home at 5:15 >:(

Gotta get my fix of driving while I can before getting sidelined for a bit.

OMG, Chris.

Remind me not to ride with you!  :rofl; :rofl;

We checked with UPS. We are never home when deliveries come, so have no idea when the normal delivery time is. The clinic called with the tracking number today and tried the "These are medical supplies that need to be there early." Told they will be delivered at the "normal" time.

Worth a try!  :clap; :clap;

Honeydew would sound good like that, but isnt that how Italian Ice is made? I'll have to go toa mall a few miles away to get watermelon Italian Ice or any other flavor they have. They use to have banana Italian ice that I loved as a kid.

By the way, I win.

Getting the heck out of town.

« Reply #15491 on: June 04, 2009, 05:41:09 AM »

Morning guys.  I've got to go to a doctor again (my toe dude).  So I have to get out my "boot" and pretend I've been wearing it every day.

Still waiting to hear from the Cardio dude doctor!  Hope I don't have a stroke while I'm waiting.  I'll refuse to pay him if I die.

Bette Davis once said something like "getting old is not  for sissies".

Come to think of it, nothing is funny anymore.

Nothing that I post here is intended for fact but rather for exploration into my personal thought processes.  Any slight, use of words with multiple connotations or other percieved insults are totally unintended.  I reserve my insults for private.
