It hit 103  in the shade. Anyone has a way to past the time  while stuck inside for the next 4 months. Our Pastor moved the start of the church BBQ this Saturday o 10 am to avoid the heat.

As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005

ChickenLittle, sounds like a quick BBQ is gonna happen since the sun is at it's highest point between 12 pm and1 pm.
 
What to do for 4 months indoors, besides cleaning house, being on pc, and watching movies on TV I have no clue.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.

Struggling with problems kidney and otherwise

10 years of half a life
3 years HD 1st transplant Feb 08 failed after 3 months
Back to HD 2nd transplant Dec 10 failed after 11 months
Difficult times with a femoral line and catching MSSA (Thank you Plymouth Hospital)
Back on HD (not easy to do that third time around)
Fighting hard (two years on) to do home HD ... watch this space!
Oh and I am am getting married 1/08/15 to my wonderful partner Drew!!!

Last night  I  tried  something  called  "fried  ice cream"             It  was  so good!!!!

Thanks  to my  donor and  donor  family, (BLESS  THEIR  HEARTS!!)      I can  eat  ice  cream  again!!

I just got home from another awards ceremony.  My daughter received a small scholarship. She is such a hard worker.  I am so proud of her!

Yes, it does.  Tomorrow we go tour the campus at the University of California at Irvine where she will be attending in the fall to pursue a career as a psychologist specializing in phobias and anxiety disorders.
