What did I learn yesterday? Never take Norco on an empty empty stomach and without having enough fluids. Although I did get a little loopy and made a great sleeping pill for many hours yet did not help pain.

Well it was fruity, it was the strawberry and cream variety.
Went to buy clothes today and the mens selection is getting smaller and smaller and less dress variety. I do not want t-shirts with kiddie designs on it, I'm an adult, I don't want all polo shirts or golf clothes. I just want something respectable without having to buy a suit which they also had less of. Heck, even the pant selection was barely there and in a mess. All that was available where Kaki's and Chinos all mixed up between pleated and flat front and finding a size, grrrrrr! I should have gone to the better store instead of local

Today they implemented new security procedures.  They took off the doorbell we used to ring to go from the lobby to the treatment floor.  They also made us sign in.  They said it was in case of emergency they needed to know who was in the building.

When one of the nephrologists came in for rounds I called over the FA and asked him if he made the neph sign in.  I asked him what if there was an earthquake and everyone got out except the neph how would we account for him?  He could be buried under the rubble and nobody would be looking for him.  The FA knew I was just busting his chops.

Just before I left one of the patients came in without waiting to be called.   This patient is a tiny little old man.  I stopped at the front and informed them that there was a security breach on chair #23, 3rd shift! They cracked up because they know what a smart a$$ I can be.

Also goes to show that there security protocols are worthless. If they are not going to have everyone follow them, what good is it to just have a few? I think you made a valid point if they are going to have these new procedures. My first center I went to (that I really hated) had a door that was locked by a security code to get in. You had to wait to be called in by a tech, but could leave without having to be leaded out to the waiting area if you could call 2 chairs a wait area. The thing I hate is the sign in sheet. I don't want everyone coming in to see my name since the person behind the desk maybe to lazy to cross my name off with a black marker which doesn't really help since it is a different type of ink and a ball point pen is used to sign in so there is a ghost image of signature. To me this is a HIPPA violation. :rant;

Guess today is a vent day for me :urcrazy;

I had some good news this month, my Creatinine seems to be improving,
my kidney function has gone up to 12.3%.
Mind you, it has only improved a little bit, but every little bit helps.
I find it very encouraging because it gives me hope
that my boring diet might be worth the bother after all.

Well done Kristina, I know you take great care with your diet.  I would find that really challenging.  It must feel great to see a positive change and its well worth celebrating.  Must make all the effort while.

Thanks for your kind thoughts, galvo and natnnat.
Yes, it is very hard, very challenging and extremely boring,
to eat every day the same food...
I do hope my diet brings me good luck
and I can keep the two little fighters
for as long as possible "pre-D".
Thanks again from Kristina.
