Chris, I got my iPod Touch at Target. I had a coupon for a $15 gift card and got another $15 gift card in the deal, so $30 "off" total.

Not sure what the Walmart deals were. We did not venture to any stores on Black Friday.  :rofl;

Marc, what kind of discount did your guy get?

Des, the week will fly by before you know it!  :cuddle;

KK, I had my typical Sunday night insomnia last night, too.  :thumbdown; And I didn't even watch Masterpiece Theater! Hmmm.

Yes, Beth got a smoking deal on an HP laptop.  And she did go around 2 in the morning. Walmart gave out tickets for the item you were looking for so she knew she was number 3 for the laptop. If she had been number 50, she would have gone home!   Black Friday is fun!

I have nothing planned for the day. We have done so much the past few days that I think I need to slow down today.  Then it all starts up again tomorrow---Tuesday is World Aids Day, so will be going to a memorial service and then a dance performance on Thursday with Eliza and Emma (first time for them to perform on stage).   Always good things happening!   :2thumbsup;

Good evening IHD -
just to clear up driving in the NE during a wind storm - many may not realize but all the roads in the northeast run either north/south or east/west - straight as an arrow - so normally we just kind of point the car in one direction and sit back and talk on the cell phone, watch a DVD on the portable player, sometimes read the paper or a good book - all the while keeping our knees on the steering wheel.  So normally we don't have to pay attention while we go on down that road - Saturday was a whole different matter with the winds (now I heard up to 45 mph) all of us drivers had to keep jerking our cars back into our own lane - or sometimes even steer to the left to keep going straight.  Worse than driving in slush.  I hope that clears up all that paying attention to driving I referred to earlier.  Someday you will all get to the NE and you will also be able to experience our straight roads.  We paid extra for them.

To top it off - today on my way to work (it was Monday ya know) I was stopped at an intersection and I got hit from behind.  My beautiful blue Mustang now has a scratched and dented back bumper.  It was truly a bummer.

Oh, the poor Mustang!   They don't like to be scratched or dented!   My poor car is waiting for the insurances companies to get their acts together.   :thumbdown;    It is my car, so my husband isn't in a great hurry to light a fire under the insurance people!  His car is fine--so why the rush?   :rofl;

Sory to hear Sly, I hate getting rear ended. Hope you don't get rear ended the day you pick up your Mustang after repair like I did. That was a bad day!

Paris, call your insurance company to get on that guys insurances  :sir ken; You never know what can happen and you may need your car sooner.

Thanks Des for putting that fear in my head that I maybe hit next and it's not even the Friday the 13th. I already have ben hit in the back and the side, don't need to be hit again. If so, I better have a winning lotto ticket in hand so I can get a new vehicle!

Morning IHD

Just don't ever stop and you won't be rear-ended!  :rofl;

Gee Aleta - if you had only offered that advice about 24 hours earlier I could have avoided the rearending.

At any rate - the sun is shining today and it is 28 degrees this morning.  A chilly walk with the dogs for sure.

Have a great day IHD.

I did not get hit today, but tomorrow has more possibilities due to highway driving to physical therapy. Got low on gas though.

I got going late today to a meeting by over an hour, but got some useful information on service/guide dogs and I don't have to be fully blind to have one like I was told by one of the well known associations for guide dogs.

Getting the heck out of town.

« Reply #20973 on: December 01, 2009, 05:47:38 PM »

Aleta, I rear ended an Audi Suv on the way to dialysis a few weeks  ago.  Long ago I had cancelled collision since the car was so old (1997 Acura) but onlyl 35,000 miles.  I wanted a new car so badly but when I got it back from the body shop it looked brand new.  I was so ticked.  Friend Javier found a body shop man named Jesus.  I'm sure that's why it came out so pretty looking.
