I am here on the computer after dinner out. My car is in the shop tonight for the driver's side window motor to be repaired, an il change and fluids topped off. The window fix will be over 300 dollars.  Drat it!

Didn't you have a side mirror problem to? I remember the picture of your car though.

Looked further into getting a guide/seeing eye dog and lots of good news there cost wise, but have 2 obstacles. 1 is my father, sometimes he wants a dog, sometimes he doesn't. However I would be taking care of expences. The second one is I have to make a 10 to 15 minute video of how I get around. I do not have video equipment to do that and I hate to be in pictures, let alone a video!

All expences are paid, airfare, travel to and from airport, boarding, food, training, and a low vision gps unit. It's 26 days of training and you get your own room. Never been to Rochester, Michigan before, o a nice short plan trip if I do all the qualification steps.

No Marc.
I have a friend who would help, but they don't have a video camera. Video from my digital camera is not the best either, wouldn't be good for submital purposes. I'll try to ask my old instructor to to video me around school, butthey want more than that. I have to manuver at a intersection crosswalk. Heck, needed to have someone just follow me in the city when I have doctor appointments.

Chris - I hope  you can get things worked out to be able to get the dog.  If I lived near you I would do your video.  Good luck figuring that out.

I was at a World Aids Day service last night. It was a very emotional service. Listed in the program were the names of those in our community that we lost this year, including a friend.   Zeke, 8 years old,  asked me if they had all died. I said yes.  He replied "but I thought we were suppose to help them so they wouldn't die?"  What  sweet hearts children have.  I explained that they were in Heaven and were no longer sick or in pain.  He turned to me and said "will you be that way in Heaven?"    The boy was killing me last night!  I was already emotional and he made the tears flow!   Emotional but very nice night.

Back to winning now!!

That's so sweet, Paris.  :waving;

Chris, I've been thinking of your need to be videoed. Is the a feature on Craig's List for services needed? Is there a services for the blind center in your area? They may be able to help. Surely there is a way to get that video done!

Rainy and cold here. Yuck. The kids need to get outside. I told the story of the Nutcracker to them today, using a model stage with props. We are going to see the ballet on Friday. I'll be soooo tired that night! LOL.

Afternoon, IHD!

Chris, I have a video camera, just received it last July. I can't claim to be a celebrated director, but I would be happy to come down and take some shots if you can't find help locally. Gwyn could come along, too, just as soon as he acquires his bullhorn and monogrammed director's chair.  :rofl;

Let me know. Seriously. We would love to help if we are able....

Aleta, the Blind Service I go to does not have that capability. I called them today. Craig's List, I'm just to leary of using.

Cariad, thank you for the offer.

I didn't get to ask my dad, but left the website page downstairs and I know he looked at it since it was moved along with a Corvette merchandise catalog I left for him to look at to give ideas what he wants for Christmas. After helping my mom out with filing out forms on the pc, I was so sore that I fell asleep for 4  hours.

We had our clinic this morning and Carl's Hgb had dropped to 12.4. That is the point at which our clinic starts administering Epogen. Soooo.

Back to giving shots.  >:(

Ahhhh  12.4.  That sounds good to me!  Hope the epogen gets Carls level where they want it to be.  Mine is always between 10 and 11 but so much better than it was.  But I know my energy level would be better if it the numbers were higher.  Glad his other labs were good   :2thumbsup;
