So, Des,
WHEN you come visit, make sure it is during our summer! ;-)

Here is Tennessee we get "some" snow, but not much. It has been running in the 40's at night and the 60's during the day. I like this kind of weather, but prefer the months that I can swim. SMILE!

And good morning to all the rest of you folks, too.

In the 70's again today in North Carolina   :2thumbsup;   Pretty, sunny and still have lots of fall leaves.  Right now I have a beautiful red Cardinal sitting at my kitchen window and behind him is bright yellow maple leaves.  Pretty sight  :thumbup;

I don't know how warm it got today in the city, but sure was warmer than usual, plus the walking around helped to. Met Cariad and her husband today, had fun and also was able to go to the Apple store that was closed at 9 am last week. I want one of those LED displays! Not a fan of their keyboards though, hard to see the fonts on the keys. I went there first because I was early and  ended up spending a lot of time in there oooooohhhing and ahhhing. Criad' husband took a picture and  will be posted later when she has time. 5.6 miles of walking, I'm sore and tired, but lost my bottled water and specialty glass case on my way to the bus to the train station. Noticed both missing when I sat down :banghead; :banghead; >:(  Will have to email glass company to see if I can get a new one. Not important, just miss it for easy location.

Oh, Chris, I'm jealous of your meeting Cariad!

What a treat!

I have exciting news. The Dean of Academic Affairs at Howard Taft University contacted me today about developing Montessori courses for their master's of education program. I'm intrigued. ;-)

Aleta

I do not have the intelligence yet to understand what that is and incorporates, but good luck and have fun at it Aleta. If it's not enjoyable and it is bothersome and time consuming, don't do it.

I'm coffeed out for the day, 60 oz  and I'm in no mood for anymore coffee even if I'm cold.

Cariad and husband are very nice and had some good conversation.

Walking to Navy Pier back and forth a couple times is much easier in the daylight compared to when we did it at the IHD meet  :rofl; Seemed easier and shorter in light  :urcrazy;

Good Morning IHD - It is Saturday and I'm going to enjoy every minute.  It is unseasonable warm in VT today - already 48 degrees.  We have had a run of good weather for November.  Makes my walks with the dogs so much better.

Have a great day.

Morning IHD.

It was so nice to meet you yesterday, Chris. Gwyn and I had a wonderful time. Northwestern can be a crazy-making place, and it is such a relief to talk to someone who understands!

Still no smilies. Chris, I checked that the box you mentioned was not ticked. Thanks for taking the time to look into it. (*smile*)

Aleta, how incredibly exciting!!!! I hope this all works out for you. I would love to hear more about it if you move forward with it. (*cheers and general excitement for you*)

Good Saturday to you all.

smile (typed, not clicked).

Cariad, we are eagerly awaiting pix! (little guy with the camera)

Dan, I don't wear feathers! hahaha. ROFL

I'm just looking for some supplemental income and feeling like I can finally put my graduate degree to work! I had to turn down a big job with a Montessori training organization last year because it would have entailed extensive travel.

I could do this one from my den, er, dialysis clinic! ;-)

There once was a lady from Poll,
Whose humor was exceedingly droll.
Went to a masquerade ball
Wearing nothing at all
And backed in as a Parker House roll!
